The 10th Festival of Documentary La Pintana, PINTACANES, will be held from 23 to 30 November 2016 in the municipality of La Pintana, Santiago de Chile. Located in Av. Santa Rosa 12975, whereabouts 37.

- Award for Best Documentary Professional Competence $ 700,000 (Chilean pesos).

- Professional Competence honorable mention Award $ 300,000 (Chilean pesos).

REGULATIONS PINTACANES 2016

10th FESTIVAL OF DOCUMENTARY OF PINTANA

The 10th Festival of Documentary La Platina, PINTACANES, will be held from 23 to 30 November 2016 in the municipality of La Pintana, Santiago de Chile. Located in Av. Santa Rosa 12975, whereabouts 37.

RULES OF COMPETITION

ARTICLE 1
Documentary Festival of La Pintana, PINTACANES. Envisages the development of a
Professional level competition.

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE

ARTICLE 2
They may participate in the Professional Competence, documentaries satisfying the following conditions:

- Works filmed or recorded in any of the following formats: film (35mm y16mm) and video (HD, DVCAM, MiniDV BetacamSP in NTSC system).

- The works must be narrated and / or subtitled in Spanish.

- You have to send the material for the pre-selection in DVD format NTSC standard.

- Entries must be premieres from January 2015.

- The duration of the documentaries is unrestricted.

- The screening format will be in digital format.

ARTICLE 3
The producer or director who holds the rights, must inform the Festival, until Friday September 16, 2016, their desire to participate, sending the registration form duly completed the data, once signed, will have the character of affidavit and You shall conclude that knows and accepts these rules.

ARTICLE 4
To complete the selection process applicants must submit an envelope containing:

1. Signed Application Form
2. Three copies of the DVD documentary, narrated or subtitled in Spanish.
3. Synopsis.
4. filmography of the director.

Delivery times: Monday to Thursday from 9: 00a 17:00 Friday from 9:00 to 16:00

ARTICLE 5
Closing date of the application process: Friday September 16, 2016 to las16: 00 hours.

ARTICLE 6
Once registered and selected, the film can not be removed from the schedule. Those who are selected, once notified, will be obliged to deliver to the production of the Festival, the following materials

1. Trailer of the documentary in HD downloadable format.
2. Technical Datasheet in Word format.
3. Photos of the film and the director / a in JPG format.
4. Copy display in digital format.

ARTICLE 7
A selection committee of an advisory nature, composed of specialists from different areas, will be responsible for advising the Festival in the pre-selection of films that have been registered.

ARTICLE 8
The Festival includes at least 6 participants as selected, if the number of registered documentary does not exceed this amount or equals, the pre-selection process be set aside and automatically become part of the selected works of the contest.

ARTICLE 9
For professional competence, the Organization of the Festival will appoint the members of the jury. This meet the following conditions:

- Consist of at least three members.
- They may not be part of the Jury those who have interests in the production and / or exploitation of the documentaries presented in competition.
- The votes of the jury are secret, and the decisions will be taken on a simple majority.
- The Organization of the Festival may attend Jury deliberations without the right to vote.
- Jury members are firmly committed to not publicly express their opinions regarding the films submitted for consideration before the official announcement of the awards. Any conflict (organization not operating) not covered by these rules will be resolved by the Festival organization.

ARTICLE 10
The jury will award the following prizes:

- Award for Best Documentary Professional Competence $ 700,000 (Chilean pesos).

- Professional Competence honorable mention $ 300,000 (Chilean pesos) Award.

ARTICLE 11
The producers of the films that have received an award undertake to mention in all advertising and press material respecting the exact wording of the jury's decision.

ARTICLE 12
The registration of a documentary in the Festival indicates the full acceptance of these rules.

The Festival organizers decided in final mode on any matter covered by these rules or their interpretation. The sender authorizes the Festival documentary for some not more than three minutes sequences may be issued by TV, within the framework of programs and spots that spread the Festival.

ARTICLE 13
All documentaries sent for pre-selection will be deposited in the Video Library Municipal Canal de La Pintana, for the purpose of viewing and transmission nonprofit by the signal Experimental Television of the Municipality of La Pintana (Pintana T.V.)
