Cinémonde is a smart, elegant private film series with screenings of thought-provoking films throughout the year, including discussions and gourmet receptions for our participants and guest filmmakers.

We give a bronze "Roger" statuette to each feature filmmaker who presents his/her work at Cinémonde. The statuette was created by sculptor James Knowles. Otherwise, we try to create as much word-of-mouth as possible for each Official Selection with the hope that the "buzz" will be beneficial.

Filmmakers present their work to our audience and then participate in a vibrant Q&A after the screening of their work. Cocktails are served before and after the films, along with desserts at the close of the soiree. If the filmmaker is not available to be in NYC at Cinémonde, we tape a brief introduction on Skype beforehand. The only rule is to make compelling films!

Cinémonde is a private series, therefore we try to be selective, both in terms of the films invited to screen throughout the year and the audiences who are invited to participate. Filmmakers and creative teams will be invited as our guests along with their film(s) because an essential facet of Cinémonde is the interaction between audience and directors, producers, cinematographers and actors who have created the film we are screening. Cinemonde soirees are mostly about the filmmakers' work but also about networking, socializing and having fun.



TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cinemonde is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Cinemonde from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
