The theme of the Festival this version: Youth and adolescence in the territories, will be also taken into account the audiovisual productions with afro-descendant; main theme. So that this space has become a community process of strengthening the identity of afro with a point of view etnoeducativo.

The 4th AFRO COMMUNITY FILM FESTIVAL "KUNTA KINTE" (FICCA "KK") is the culminating event of a political and audiovisual formation process carried out every year by the Afro-Colombian Social and Cultural Development Corporation «CARABANTÚ» with girls and boys , adolescents and youth (NNAJ) of the city of Medellín.

This project is an ethno-educational tool that seeks to rescue the values, wealth and diversity of Afro-descendant peoples. The FICCA «K. K. »has as its main objective to build a process through which the people who inhabit the different neighborhoods of the city of Medellín, are social protagonists and become multipliers of a cinema culture with an Afro-descendant commitment.

The theme of the Festival in this version will be: "Identity and peace of the afro people", audiovisual productions with Afro-descendant themes produced in Colombia will also be taken into account. This is how this space has been constituted in a community process to strengthen the Afro identity with an ethno-educational perspective.

The Afro-Colombian Social and Cultural Development Corporation CARABANTÚ invites directors and filmmakers to register their film productions at the 4th Afro Kunta Kinte 2019 International Community Film Festival.

Audiovisual productions made by amateur organizations, groups, producers, filmmakers and audiovisual producers, professionals and / or independents without age or nationality limit may participate in this version.

Regulation: Registration of works:
Terms and Conditions:
The registration of productions in any category is free.

Nationality of the works: To the official competition may register Colombian and foreign works, as well as co-productions. There will be no limit on the number of productions registered per country.

For this version of the Festival a window of National Cinema was created, in this category it is not necessary for the production to develop the theme proposed by the Festival in this edition.

Productions made from October 2010 until the closing date of this call will be accepted.

Language and subtitles: In all competitive sections, films filmed in any language can be registered. However, works made in a language other than Spanish must have subtitles in Spanish or be dubbed in Spanish. If you do not have dubbing or subtitles, you must attach a copy of the original script in Spanish.
