CortogeniAl - festival de cortometrajes de Puente Genil ()

All directors, producers or distributors who own legal exploitation rights on the films they submit to this festival are welcome.

1. All short films must have been produced in 2018 or 2019.

2. Short films cannot be longer than 20 minutes.

3. All authors may submit as many films as they see fit.

4. Films not produced in Spanish must be presented with Spanish subtitles.

5. All authors must be legally responsible for their works.

TERMS OFICIAL COMPETITION SECTION 2018

1. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
It could be possible the participation of all those movie directors, producers or distributors who possess the legal control of the performances that they present to compete.
The person or entity (or its representative) that signs the short film’s application form will be considered by the organization as the only valid interlocutor for any notification that the Festival makes and the only person responsible in the presence of other people or companies that have participated in the production.

2. REQUIREMENT:
2.1 - Short films must have been produced in 2018 or 2019.
2.2 - The length could not be superior to 20 minutes.
2.3 - Every playwright could provide the number of performances she/he wants.
2.4 - Productions not filmed in Spanish have to present their performances with subtitle in Spanish for its exhibition.
2.5 - Authors will take the responsibility of their performances.

3. DEADLINE, REGISTRATION AND SELECTION.
The registration deadline begins on July 1st and ends on October 1st, 2019.
The selection of the finalist short films will be published on November 1st, 2019, on the web www.cortogenial.org. In turn, directors of the finalist short films will be informed by email.

4. WAYS OF SENDING THE SHORT FILMS:
The short films’ delivery could be done in the following ways: postal mail, by Internet or by Festivals website.


POSTAL MAIL:
Participants should send:
a) A printed and completed Registration card. It is available on the website: www.cortogenial.org
b) A copy of the film on DVD or digital file.
c) An ID card photocopy, a frame of the short film and extra material of the short film that you want to send us.

NOTE - registration card: Participants could use their own registration card.

BY INTERNET.
Participants have the possibility to send their short films by internet (WeTransfer, Dropbox, Vimeo o similar). In that way, they could send their performances with a format of superior quality to the DVD.
Instructions:
Enter into WeTransfer website https://www.wetransfer.com/ Dropbox https://www.dropbox.com/es/ or Vimeo https://vimeo.com/ and send all the files (short film, registration card, ID card photocopy, short film frame and extra material that you want to send us) to the website info@cortogenial.org.
In case of doubt, send an email to info@cortogenial.org showing the name of the person that registers the short film in the competition, title of the short film and contact email. Soon, you will receive the instructions to send the short film to CortogeniAl.

5. SELECTION:
Among all the short films received, a selected committee will choose the performances that will be exhibited.
The result of the selection will be published on the website on November 1st, 2019.
The committee’s decision is unappealable.
The selected short films will be exhibited in public sessions in the named place, following the timetables and dates showed in the competition plan or provided by the Organization.

6. PRIZES:
After the selected work’s exhibition, the judges will publish the competition list of winners during the Closing Ceremony of CortogeniAl19:
First Prize................. 800 euros
Second Prize................ 500 euros
Audience Special Prize...... 400 euros

RTVA, to the best audiovisual Andalucian creation (RTVA Terms)

The “Canal Radio and TV prize to the Audiovisual Andalucian Creation” is announced so as to reward a producer, a movie director, a scriptwriter or Andalucian film producer or to reward the best audiovisual work in any of its sorts, primarily short films and documentaries, presented in the audiovisual Andalucian competitions. Canal Sur Radio and TV prizes to the audiovisual Andalucian creation will be given by the judges, for whose verdict will be incorporated Canal Sur Radio and TV representatives.
The Canal Sur Radio and TV prize to the Audiovisual Creation is well-endowed with a trophy consisting on the bronze reproduction of the sculpture EL DILEMA from Mario César de las Cuevas.
The financial envelope of these prizes will be subject to the obtainment of the requested funding to the City Council of Puente Genil and the Delegación de Cultura of the Diputación de Córdoba.
The prizes will be awarded by members of a jury chosen by the Organization, made up of representatives from the audiovisual sector. The jury’s decision will be unappealable.
The Audience Prize will be voted by the attendees after viewing the short films, following the instructions that the organization stipulates for this purpose.

7. ACCEPTANCE AND PRIZES PAYMENT:
The payment of the prizes is subject to the tax regulations in force in Spain.
From the closing date of the event, the Contest will send to the winners a letter of request of necessary documentation to proceed with the payment of the prizes. The organization undertakes to pay the winners 60 days after receiving the full amount of the grant.
The required documentation for the payment procedure will be as follows:
1. ID card or passport photocopy.
2. Bank account certificate.
3. Letter of acceptance of the prize (it will be facilitated by the contest).
Once received the letter of acceptance of the prize, the award-winning will have a period of 60 days to send the required documentation. After that period, without fulfilling this requirement, the award-winning will not have right to any compensation.
The Festival will proceed to the payment of the prize in a maximum period of 30 days, counted from the date of receipt to this documentation.

8. FILE / MEDIA LIBRARY:
The received short films will become part of the audiovisual file of the Contest, designated for non-profit audiovisual broadcasting, and always of cultural type. In any case, the contest will inform participants of the use made of these films.


9. TERMS ACCEPTANCE:
The registration implies the acceptance of these terms in addition to the decisions of the Organization and the selection committee. Any question not presented in the terms will be solved by the Contest Organization.
