The Bayou City Horror Film Fest is a unique forum for international independent filmmakers to showcase their films in Houston, Texas. All types of Dark genres are accepted: Black Comedy, Dark Comedy, Sketch, Mockumentary, Science Fiction, Animation, and of course Horror.
The BCHFF showcases dark genre based films under 30 from all over the world, in HD at the Alamo Drafthouse - Houston, Texas. If you are a filmmaker, looking to screen your film in the DARK genre format, then you've found the right place.

All films and are eligible, regardless if they have distribution or not. Films that are accepted to this festival are expected to provide a download link to their film within 1 week of selection. All films must have an original resolution of 1920x1080 HD. Standard Definition and 720p will not be accepted. All films will be compiled and screened on Blu-Ray DVD. 23.976, 24, 25 & 30 frame rates are all acceptable, but 23.976 is preferred. DCP and 5.1 Surround Sound are not accepted, only stereo files please. Quicktime (.mov) and (.mp4) file formats are preferred.

Each film accepted will have 2 free tickets available for the night that their film screens. All other guests must pay $15.00 each for their tickets. No exceptions.
