1. Description of the competition

In-FCTA's main objective is and will always be cultural dissemination in a depressed area and with reduced access to diverse and quality cultural formats. In this case, it is a question of finding a place in the Terres de l'Ebre for the diffusion of a cultural, audiovisual and cinematographic format, which has always had a great presence in the area, but which in recent years it has lost the brightness of other times.
If the intention is to increase the interest in the seventh art in the population, it must be made available to adults, for enjoyment, but also for a deeper knowledge of cinema.

2. Short films and prizes

In-FCTA HighLand Pro Section

Short films chosen and shortlisted by the festival through various reception channels.

Any short film recorded in any format with a maximum duration of 30 minutes and not earlier than January 1, 2018 can participate.

Selected short films must be submitted in high definition digital display format, H264 or Mp4 (AVC H264, 1920 x 1080).

3. Other

Works from all genres of fiction, including animation, are accepted.

Works can be submitted in Catalan, Spanish and any other language with Catalan or Spanish subtitles.

In addition, the organization reserves the right to reject shorts that it considers offensive or unsuitable for public viewing. In any case, it will notify the directors of the short films before the contest is held.

4. Jury

A professional jury appointed by the organization will decide the winner. The decisions of the jury will be final and objective, according to their own quality scales, and the verdict will be announced on the last day of the Festival, on August 8, when the prizes and awards will be given to the winners.

5. Exhibition of the works

The selected films will be screened publicly from August 2 to 8. The directors of the screening day of their work will be informed. With the registration, the authors and producers authorize the screening.
