FERATUM FILM FESTIVAL, tiene como objetivo abrir un espacio de exhibición, difusión y producción a películas de terror, fantasía, ciencia ficción y sub géneros afines, filmes mexicanos, iberoamericanos y de todo el mundo.
FERATUM, es un punto de encuentro entre creadores de la industria cinematográfica del cine fantástico y una plataforma para el lanzamiento de nuevos creadores.

MUESTRA CINÉPOLIS
Los trabajos ganadores podrán ser seleccionados para su exhibición en las muestras que se realizarán en Cinépolis Ciudad de México y otras ciudades de la República Mexicana en el Tour FERATUM 2018, así como muestras en cine clubes y/o festivales con los que FERATUM tiene convenio.
JURADOS Y DICTÁMENES:
• El Jurado estará compuesto por reconocidos cineastas y especialistas del género fantástico, quienes se darán a conocer en conferencias de prensa y nuestro sitio oficial.
• La decisión del Jurado será inapelable y el premio se podrá declarar desierto en caso de no reunir los requisitos mencionados.
• Cualquier caso no previsto será resuelto por el comité de selección y los jurados.
• Los resultados de todos los ganadores se darán a conocer el Sabado 22 de septiembre en el evento de premiación FERATUM AWARDS 2018.

CINEPOLIS SHOWCASE
The winning entries will be selected for screenings held in Cinepolis – Mexico City, and other cities of the Mexican Republic, at the FERATUM TOUR 2018, as well as shows at film clubs and / or festivals, with which FERATUM has an agreement.
JURY AND OPINIONS:
• The jury will consist of renowned filmmakers and fantasy genre specialists, who will be announced at press conferences and on our official website.
• The jury decision will be unappealable, and the prize will be declared deserted, if they do not meet the requirements.
• Any unintended case, will be resolved by the Selection Committee and juries.
• The results of all winners will be announced on Saturday September 22th., at the Closing Night Gala Ceremony in the FERATUM AWARDS 2018.

FERATUM FILM FESTIVAL abre convocatoria para filmes mexicanos e internacionales de cortometraje y largometraje, invitando a todas las producciones de género fantástico: Terror, Fantasía, Ciencia Ficción y subgéneros derivados.
Las películas que formen parte de la Selección Oficial de FERATUM, serán incluidas en las siguientes secciones a criterio del comité:

REGLAMENTO
BASES GENERALES
A. FERATUM FILM FEST se llevará a cabo del 20 al 23 de septiembre del 2018.
B. FERATUM impulsa el cine fantástico y tiene como objetivo promover a los realizadores, buscando nuevos espacios de exhibición, difusión y distribución.
C. Las películas para selección oficial y muestra serán elegidas por un comité de selección, cuya decisión será inapelable.
D. La convocatoria queda abierta a partir del 15 de marzo y cierra el 30 de junio del 2018.
E. Las inscripciones para todas las obras cinematográficas de cortometraje y largometraje, están abiertas para formar parte de la Selección Oficial y competir en las diferentes secciones y categorías, así como las muestras de exhibición.
F. Las obras deben ser inscritas por realizadores, productores y/o distribuidores.
G. Todos los participantes deberán cubrir con las tasas de inscripción. (Gratuito para mexicanos)
H. Los participantes pueden inscribir un número ilimitado de obras, siempre y cuando se ajusten a los géneros narrativos mencionados al inicio de la convocatoria.
I. No hay restricción en cuanto al formato original en que haya sido realizada la obra.
J. Las obras inscritas deben haber sido producidas entre 2017 y 2018.
K. Es necesario llenar la ficha de inscripción y firmar aceptación de las bases de parte del representante de la obra audiovisual, la omisión de este requisito puede ser motivo de descalificación.
L. El comité de selección resolverá todos los casos que pudieran presentarse, siendo inapelable su veredicto.
M. Los participantes deben cubrir con todos los requisitos de la convocatoria para ser aceptados en las diferentes secciones.
N. La selección oficial de FERATUM FILM FEST 2018 se publicará entre el 29 de julio y 5 de agosto del 2018 en las redes sociales y página oficial del festival www.feratumfilmfest.com
O. Las películas seleccionadas no podrán ser retiradas de la competencia bajo ninguna circunstancia una vez aceptada la participación.

REGISTRO – INSCRIPCIÓN

A. Descargar la ficha de inscripción para aceptación de bases DESCARGA AQUÍ.

B. La inscripción deberá hacerse sólo a través de las siguientes plataformas:
• FESTHOME: www.festhome.com
• WITHOUTABOX: www.withoutabox.com
• FILMFREEWAY: www.filmfreeway.com

No se tomará en cuenta la inscripción que no haya sido a través de las plataformas antes señaladas.

C. Enviar un e-mail a feratumentries@gmail.com con la siguiente información:
• Ficha de inscripción firmada y escaneada.
• 2 Stills en formato .jpg (300 dpi),
• Cartel de la película en formato .jpg (300 dpi),
• Fotografía del director en formato .jpg (300 dpi),
• Especificar a través de cual plataforma fue enviada la película.
• NOTA: Se podrá recibir VIMEO o YOUTUBE privado siempre y cuando ya se haya inscrito en las plataformas mencionadas, se solicitará una contraseña con caducidad al 30 de septiembre 2018.

D. Duración de las películas.
• Los largometrajes deberán tener una duración mayor a los 60 minutos y como máximo 120 minutos.
• Los cortometrajes deberán tener una duración de más de 2 minutos y no deberán superar los 20 minutos.

E. Tasas de inscripción

SECCIÓN ALUCARDA– PRODUCCIÓN MEXICANA

La tasa de inscripción para cortometrajes y largometrajes mexicanos será gratuita.

SECCIÓN INTERNACIONAL E IBEROAMERICANA

1. Tasa de inscripción para largometrajes: $15 dólares.
2. Tasa de inscripción para cortometrajes: $ 8 dólares.


REQUISITOS PELÍCULAS EN SELECCIÓN

A. Los formatos finales de exhibición serán exclusivamente:
Blu-Ray, Apple ProRes 422 HQ (1920 x 1080 23.97 fps) NTSC, archivo QuickTime H264 24fps.
B. Toda obra realizada en otro idioma que no sea español, deberá ser subtitulada al mismo.
C. Enviar tráiler de la película.
D. La fecha límite para entregar la copia de exhibición y material de difusión de las películas en selección es el día 13 de julio de 2018.
E. FERATUM FILM FEST utilizará fragmentos o el tráiler de las películas seleccionadas para difusión en plataformas online con fines promocionales.
F. Las obras seleccionadas podrán ser parte del FERATUM TOUR y de los ciclos alternos nacionales e internacionales del festival, con aviso previo a los responsables de la obra.
G. A criterio del comité podrán ser incluidos en una muestra en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia 2018 (FICM)
H. Se tomará en cuenta la fecha del matasellos del envío.
I. El costo de envío corre por cuenta de productor, distribuidor o director.
J. Se enviará a los seleccionados una carta de selección oficial con más información.

Nota SECCIÓN INTERNACIONAL E IBEROAMERICANA: Los envíos internacionales por correo postal deben especificar que el contenido es exclusivamente con fines culturales y sin valor comercial.

RULES OF PARTICIPATION
GENERAL BASES
A. FERATUM FILM FEST will take place from September 20th to the 23th, of 2018.
B. FERATUM propels quality Fantasy cinema, and aims to promote filmmakers, looking for new exhibition spaces, broadcasting and distribution.
C. Films for Official Selection and showcase, will be selected by a Selection Committee, whose decision will be unappealable.
D. The call for entries is open from March 15th to june 30th of 2018.
E. Submission for all cinematographic works of Short Films and Feature Films, are open to be selected for FERATUM Official Selection, and contend in different sections and categories, as well as showcases.
F. The works must be registered by directors, producers and/or distributors.
G. All participants must cover registration fees. (No fee for Mexicans)
H. Participants can register an unlimited number of works, if they fulfill the above narrative genres, mentioned at the beginning of the call.
I. There is no restriction as to the original format in which the work has been performed.
J. Submitted works must have been produced between 2017 and 2018.
K. It is necessary to fill out the registration form and sign acceptance of the rules of the representative of the audiovisual work. The omission of this requirement, may be cause of disqualification.
L. The Selection Committee will resolve all cases that may arise, being its verdict, unappealable.
M. Participants must meet all the requirements of the call, in order to be accepted in the different sections.
N. The FERATUM FILM FEST 2018 Official Selection, will be published on July 29th to august 5th of 2018, in the social networks and the official website of the Festival www.feratumfilmfest.com
O. The selected works may not be withdrawn from competition, under any circumstances, once its participation is accepted.

• Registration sheet signed and scanned.
• 2 stills of the Project .jpg (300 dpi) format
• Poster of the film in .jpg (300 dpi)
• Picture of Director in .jpg (300 dpi)
• Specify through which platform the film was sent.
• NOTE: VIMEO and Private YOUTUBE may be accepted, only if it has already been registered on the mentioned platforms. A password with expiration on September 30th, 2018, will be required.



D. Lenght of the films.
• Feature Films must have a length larger than 60 minutes, but must not exceed 120 minutes.
• Short Films must have a length larger than 2 minutes, but must not exceed 20 minutes.

E. Registration fees.

FILM REQUIREMENTS FOR SELECTION

A. The final formats of exhibition will be exclusively: Blu-Ray, Apple ProRes 422 HQ (1920 x 1080 23.97 fps) NTSC, QuickTime H264 24fps file.
B. Any work done in another language which is not Spanish, must be subtitled in it.
C. Send trailer of the film.
D. The deadline to submit all the copies for exhibition and promotion materials of the selected films, is July 18th, 2018.
E. FERATUM FILM FEST will use fragments or trailer of the selected films, for online promotion.
F. The selected works will be part of FERATUM TOUR, and national and international alternate showcases of the festival, with prior authorization from those responsible of the work.
G. The selection commitee can include your feature in MORELIA FILM FEST (FICM) showcase 2018.
H. The date of postmark will be taken into account.
I. The responsibility of the carriage of the film copy (including return) lies with the producer, distributor or director, which also bears the freight and costs (including taxes and insurance).
J. An official selection letter with more information will be sent to the selected ones.
