In its eighth year history, The International Surf Film Festival of Chile, FICSURF has occupied a unique position in the end of the world.

Each spring, a wave of culture of the sea flooded the capital of Chile.
The best filmmakers, artists, musicians, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, athletes and photographers in the world, all sea and surf lovers, gather here to share the hunger for new discoveries and passion for surfing in all its diversity.

FESTIVAL RULES
FICSURF CHILE 2015 - VIII INTERNATIONAL SURF FILM FESTIVAL

Article 1.

FICSURF of Chile, land of 4,000 kms of sea, in its eighth version, World Surf culture leads the urbanized Capital.

FICSURF 2015 CHILE - VIII INTERNATIONAL SURF FILM FESTIVAL


Article 2.

The FICSURF 2015 CHILE - VIII INTERNATIONAL SURF FILM FESTIVAL will be held annually and its eighth edition will be held from 27 to 29 November at the Cultural Corporation of Las Condes in Santiago, Chile.


Article 3.

The festival has two competition sections.

3.1- International Surf Short Film Competition: Produced from June 1, 2014. And they should have a maximum of 10 minutes.


Article 4.

Format: MOV H264 1920x1080, ProRes, DVD and other downloadable digital format by the organization.


Article 5.
 
The films that come with the form duly completed and signed will be accepted. The deadline for applications is November 10, 2015.


Article 6.

6.1 To make a movie, the producer must send the Festival, on their own expenses and a registration form and the film in any digital format.

a) The films must be spoken or subtitled in Spanish.

b) additional information:
• Synopsis of the film in English and Spanish
• Two (2) digital photographs of the film, plus one (1) photo of the director (resolution: 300 dpi).
• Brief biography and filmography of the director.
• A complete artistic and technical dossier.
• Synopsis of the film (vimeo or youtube link)

6.2- The Festival has the right to display the movie synopsis before the event and film in competition during the event.

6.3- FICSURF 2015 winners will also display in other festivals of the producer, as Surfestival and Save the Waves Chile

6.4- All materials submitted will file for registration and festival and will not be returned.


Article 7.

A committee appointed by the organizers will select the films in the competitive sections of the festival.


Article 8.

Festival Awards

8.1- The International Jury, whose decisions are irreversible, will award the following prizes:

“GOLDEN Cochayuyo Besto Documentary Film


Article 9.

The Organizing Committee will decide on all matters not covered by this regulation in accordance with the application of the International Regulations for film festivals.


Article 10.

Participation in FICSURF 2015 CHILE - VIII INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL SURF presupposes knowledge and acceptance of these rules.
