- Festival is only open for fiction, animation and documental short films.

- Films submitted must be Spanish spoken or subtitled.

- Application is free. All expenses related with shipping of the films for submission will be on applicants’ account.

- Films will not exceed 30 minutes.

- Production format is open to filmmakers’ own discretion.

- Films must have been produced from 2013 onwards.

The International Film Festival is one of the most important short film festivals in Argentina. A film event Tapiales of important social and cultural impact nonprofit, organized by JC OFCT Films, held in the village of Tapiales, a town belonging to the La Matanza, located in the province of Buenos Aires. It is also a competitive event where selected films are projected to receive the award later Aboriginal under verdict of the honorable members of the jury. The event is held under the premise of enhancing the popular character, free and outdoors. Tapiales also proposes parallel activities such as training spaces, lectures and special exhibitions outside competition.

SHORT FILMS


1. The festival is open to any film in any genre..


2. Films submitted must be Spanish spoken or subtitled.


3. All expenses related with shipping of the films for submission will be on applicants’ account.


4. Films will not exceed 45 minutes.


5. Production format is open to filmmakers’ own discretion.


6. Films must have been produced from 2013 onwards.


7. It is also mandatory to include following information: credits, director’s filmography or CV, short film synopsis, 2 digital images (may be film scenes photographs, backstage photographs, actors or director photos)


8. The Festival Selection Committee will be responsible for the film selection and the program will be determined by Festival Programming Department.


9. The members of the Jury will be chosen by the organizers and their names will be published after the deadline for submissions.


10. Winner films will be granted Querandi Awards to the following categories: Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Production, Best Photography, Best Sound, Best Animated Film, Best Documental film and Best Foreign Film.


11. No copy of the films (selected or not) will be returned. All of them will become part of Tapiales Short Film Festival archives and may be used for special showcases and/or national or international exhibitions. Filmmakers will not be entitled to claim any compensation for the use of their films by Tapiales International Film Festival.
