3rd Independent Film and Video Festival

Retransmisión travels for the third time to 8 cities in Mexico, bringing film shows, experimental video installations, audiovisual interventions and its filmmakers. Generating new routes, spaces and audiences eager to see the best of the international independent film scene.

For this reason, it extends a call to filmmakers, videographers and creative people in general to participate in the third edition, focused on international independent animation, as well as on the national and international projection of Mexican cinema.

The selected films do not participate for any prize or economic remuneration, but they are integrated into a permanently active circuit nationwide, within which they will be able to exhibit to large and new audiences who will recognize their work and will be able to host Q&A sessions, as well as offering courses or visits as special guests.

La Muestra de Cine Mexicano será elegida bajo la curaduría de Retransmisión y el Festival Internacional de Cine de Girona.

Los seleccionados serán exhibidos por las 8 ciudades que conforman el circuito de Retransmisión en los meses de agosto a noviembre. Y recibirán un certificado de participación. Así como la oportunidad de vender copias de sus películas o presentarse como invitados especiales en las funciones.

Los 20 cortometrajes seleccionados serán exhibidos por las 8 ciudades que conforman el circuito de Retransmisión

The official selection will be chosen by the curatorship of members of the collective nationwide.

The film festival is non-profit and the recovery costs will be clear. In case of generating any cost for the attendees, the filmmakers will be notified and the pertinent agreements will be made.

The received material will become part of the collection of the festival, so it can be used, strictly for cultural purposes and free of charge in other events organized by Retransmisión, with prior notice to the person responsible for the material.

All participants are responsible for guaranteeing that they are the holders of the economic rights of the film with which they participate.

The main theme is free, as long as it does not present political campaigns or commercial marketing.

The Mexican Film Festival will be chosen by the curatorship of Retransmisión and the Girona International Film Festival.

Retransmisión does not commit to any payment, transfer or viaticum to filmmakers at the venues. Only in providing the required information.

In case of the fillm not having subtitles, Retransmisión offers a subtitling service for 30 USD.

The chosen ones will receive an email with the delivery instructions and the Press Kit for their proper participation.
