YathaKatha International Film & Literature Festival is a celebration of cinema & literature under one roof to bridge the gap between two beautiful related art forms and to re-engage the world with the mesmerising world of stories & their presentation.

YKIFLF is not only a festival but it is also a place to discuss cinema and literature under one deck wherein there will be screenings of competing films, book launches, award ceremony along with a number of educational events, like literary presentations, various panel discussions, open forums and master classes etc. The festival maintains long-lasting partnerships with all individuals, companies and cultural institutes in India and abroad.

Festival is receiving entries under three categories -
Special Awards - Anyone can participate
World Cinema - Films from outside India are accepted
Indian Cinema - Films made in India are accepted

The 1st edition of YathaKatha International Film & Literature Festival will take place between 25th to 28th November 2021, In Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR SPECIAL AWARD CATEGORIES

Special Awards Categories are open to all the participant whether he/she presents any country, any state, any region globally. Special Awards are designed to showcase the best cinematic presentations. So if you feel your work is upto that mark, don't wait and submit your films and get CASH PRIZES and many more opportunities.

The Prize

- There will be a cash prize of INR 100000/- (One Lakh) for each SPECIAL AWARD CATEGORY.

- All the winners will receive an exclusively designed trophy and a certificate.

- All the nominated films will be screened during the event.

- The winners will be featured on our website and other social media platforms for a long period of time.

- Winning films’ posters will be there on our website.

- All winners and their work will be reviewed / featured in a special issue of yearly Souvenir of the festival, post event.

Submission Eligibility

- RunTime - 10 min to 120 min

- Any Genre/Any Country/Any Region/ Anyone can submit in these categories

- Any participant from any country or region can submit their work in these categories.

- All submissions must have been completed after 1 January 2018. The date of production is determined by the copyright /Censor certificate printed on the film.

- Work-in-progress films are also accepted.

- We do accept already released films too.

- Submissions are reviewed and selected on the basis of quality of narrative, production value, nature of production, presentation and innovation.

- Multiple entries from the same participant are accepted, but each film must be accompanied by a separate details and entry fee.

- By submitting your project, at YathaKatha International Film & Literature Festival take note that: You authorise us to use the parts of your project (including film/trailer/teaser/film poster/stills) for promotional purpose.

- Please select the right category while submitting to avoid disqualification.

- No refund is allowed if you withdraw your work after submission or if you fail to submit in right category.

All International films will be evaluate and awarded under this section. Fee for the various categories can be find out under the categories. Multiple entries are accepted with separate submission details and fee.

- Webseries of any length or episodes are accepted

- Any Genre/Any Country/Any Region/ Anyone outside India can submit their work in these categories

- Work-in-progress films are also accepted.

- We do accept already released films too.

- Submissions are reviewed and selected on the basis of quality of narrative, production value, nature of production, presentation and innovation.
