13th İnönü University International Short Film Festival Applications Started
Organized by İnönü University Faculty of Communication and Cinema Group, there is a short time left until the start of the İnönü University International Short Film Festival, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema.

The festival, which will be held for the 13th time this year, will be held between 26-28 October 2021.
Aiming to support young filmmakers and contribute to the cinema culture, the festival will offer a total of 20 thousand TL cash prizes in national and international documentary and fictional film competitions. In the national category, a monetary award of 5 thousand Turkish Liras will be given to the first work, 3 thousand Turkish Liras for the second, and 2 thousand Turkish Liras for the third.
Also, one of the founders of İnönü University Short Film Festival, who passed away on August 19, 2021, Prof. Dr. Kadir Beycioğlu Special Award will be given in memory of Kadir Beycioğlu.

T.C. Those who want to participate in the festival, which is also supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, can apply until October 15, 2021.

1.Films shot after January 2020 can apply to the competition.

2.Films whose duration does not exceed 30 (thirty) minutes can apply to the competition.

3.Contestants can apply with more than one work.

4.Participating in other festivals or receiving an award is not an obstacle to participation.

5.Films that have previously participated in the İnönü University International Short Film Festival, applied but were not accepted to the competition, cannot apply for the competition under any circumstances.

6.No distinction was made in the competition. All films made in any of the fiction and documentary genres are eligible to apply.

7.If the film has been shot in any language other than Turkish, the pre-jury evaluation copies must have Turkish subtitles.

8.The encrypted online viewing link of the movie must be sent with the application form.

9.The Festival Management reserves the right to use a 3-minute portion of the film, provided that it is for promotional purposes.

10.Authors cannot withdraw their films from the festival after the deadline, regardless of whether the films have passed the preliminary evaluation or not.

11.The Festival Management reserves the right to withdraw from the competition the productions that it does not find technically satisfactory.

12.At the end of the Pre-Jury evaluation, a maximum of 15 (fifteen) films are nominated for the competition.

13.Films that are watched by the preliminary jury and deemed suitable for the competition will be announced at the festival press conference and on the festival's official website on the same day.

14.Owners of films that fail the pre-evaluation will not be informed by any communication that they have not passed the pre-evaluation.

15.The films are presented to the jury members and the audience in the halls deemed appropriate by the festival management and according to the program.

16.During the screenings, no requests can be made to the festival management or the hall attendant to change the hall, session or program.

17.Films that are not found suitable for the competition by the preliminary jury may be included in the non-competition screening program by the festival management.

18.If the legal owner of the film does not want his film to be shown in the non-competition program, he must state this in the application form. Otherwise, it is deemed to have accepted the display.

19.The invitation of the creative team (director, screenwriter, actor, etc.) of the films included in the non-competitive screening program to the festival depends on the festival management. The festival management may or may not invite it if it deems necessary.

20.Films can be shot in 35mm, 16mm, digital or video format. However, the screenings will be held on the hard disk in H.264 P.1080 format.
