The annual 2nd CARMEL international short film festival is taking place at the picturesque town of Zikhron Yaakov, on the Carmel mountain, near the mediterranean sea in Israel. Screening will take place in magical historical venues. Our aim is to promote short films and new media - fiction, documentary, animation and VR. International section divided to panorama (non competitive) and competitive awarding prizes of 1k NIS,
Student's movies will be considered to panorama ONLY.

21-06-2021 Update: Doe to extremely high ratio of Spanish submissions among other nationalities. We kindly ask Spanish filmmakers not to submit your work to the festival. As for 22-06-2021 Submissions from Spain movies is closed.
Films submitted until 21-06-2021 will be considered.

Ruls:
1.CISFF accept submissions to the following categories:

Fiction
Animation
Documentary

First Prize for each category stands on 1k NIS (300USD)

CISFF keep the right to decide which film will take place at the competition section or in Panorama section (Non competitive)

2.film length between 1 min to 30 min

3.The Entrant/s submitting the film must hold all legal rights for the submission, as well as all necessary clearances for public exhibition.

4.The Filmmaker/s retain/s all submission and intellectual property rights.

5. The Filmmaker/s is/are responsible for making sure all submission materials are submitted by the submission deadline indicated. If your film does not arrive or is not uploaded by the deadline for which you have registered, you may be required to pay submission fee or withdrawn.

6.Subtitles must be in English.

7. CISFF reserves the right to use images and parts from video trailer from films selected in the Festival for marketing purposes.

8.Only films finished from 2020 and 2021 can be considered

9.An Israeli director or production company cannot submit as an international film

10.Online screening is limited to Israel only.

11.Students films are warmly welcome but will be considered to the Panorama (non competitive )only

12.Applicants acknowledge that CISFF reserves the right to change the nature of screenings and events.

13.Films submitted to CISFF at the past can not be submitted again

These option can not be considered as short film:

1. previews and advertising films

2. sequences from feature-length films, such as credit sequences

3. unaired episodes of established TV series

4. unsold TV series pilots
