In 2011 Fundación Inquietarte decided to call Visualízame, Audiovisual & Mujer, one of the few film and women festivals held in Spain. It has the peculiarity that the prizes, which amount to 4,000 euros in total, are not granted by administrations or companies, they are professionals who reward professionals, providing themselves the amount of the prizes. The competition categories with Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Screenplay and Interpretation. It also has other prizes awarded by Funespaña,Cátedra UNESCO, Peace, Solidarity and Intercultural Dialogue Abat Oliba-CEU University to the works that best reflect on death, social problems and human rights.

A jury, made up of professionals from the world of culture, image, journalism and teaching, specialists in gender, will be responsible for choosing the winning films. Your decision will be unappealable.

VisualízaMe will award the following prizes:
Category A: endowed with 500€ for the short film that best reflects on death and mourning.

Category B: endowed with 500€ for the short film that best addresses the human rights challenges and the Sustainable Development Goals proposed by the UN.

The jury specially values those works that include reflection on how Coronavirus pandemic and the new social reality that this entails affect to mourning process and the most vulnerable groups in society.

The jury will have authority to consider deserts the awards in any of the categories if it so deems it necessary.

The International Short Film Festival, Visualízame, will take place next October in collaboration with the Associated Center of the UNED-Segovia; and with the participation of the Segovia City Council. The finalist screenings will take place at the Quintanar Palace, San Agustín Street.


Short films that include in the technical team women who are directors, producers, and /or scriptwriters, can participate.


A maximum of two short films can be sent by category.

The maximum running time will be 20 minutes for the fiction and animation categories, and 30 minutes in the documentary category, including titles of credit.


If the original language of the film is not Spanish, the film must be subtitled in Spanish.


All submitted short films must have been produced after January, 1st 2018.

The original recording format is free

SENDING by certified mail two copies on DVD to the Organization of the Festival, along with a CD with datasheet and two photographs of the the film in digital format, tiff or jpeg, the contact (person of reference, phone, email) and photocopy of the ID of the person of contact or the author.

The category in which you want to participate must be indicated: Category A: Fiction; Category B: Documentary; Category C: Animation; Category D: Screenplay Original; Category E: Interpretation

The cost of shipping and return of films, shall be borne by the contestant

The films selected will be in power of the Organization and may be used by the Festival in them media of communication to promote the programming of the Festival*, besides in it activitie educational of the Festival organized by the Foundation Inquietarte

The Special awards-winning films may also be used in educational activities and dissemination of the award organized by the sponsor in collaboration with the Foundation Inquietarte

• The films admitted to participate in the festival can be screened in the itinerant educational activity organized by Fundación Inquietarte. The admission to contest will be informed by mail addressed to the person who made the registration

Once the admission of films has been made, the finalists will be selected. The finalist films will be those that are screened in sessions open to the public during the festival

The list of finalists will be announced on the Fundación Inquietarte website, www.inquietarte.es, as well as on the Festival's blog, the corresponding Facebook and Twitter profiles, and the media, Once there is a decision by the members of the jury, besides being communicated by mail to the participants.

Category A: Best Fiction Audiovisual, endowed with € 1000; Category B: Best Documentary Audiovisual, endowed with 500 € Category
C: Best Audiovisual Animation, endowed with € 500; Category D: Best Original Screenplay, endowed with € 500
Category E: Best actress or actor, endowed with € 500;

Likewise, special prizes will be awarded:
Special Funespaña Award, worth € 500 for works that reflect on death and the duel.
Special Award for UNESCO Chair Peace, Solidarity and Intercultural Dialogue, Abat Oliba CEU University, endowed with € 500, for short films that best address these contents.

The roaming of the Visualízame Festival has projected the films participating in the Abat Oliba CEU University (Barcelona), Museum Zabaleta in Quesada (Jaén), Orense Funergal, Almeria, Villa del Río (Córdoba), Vechtdal College of Hardenberg (the Netherlands), Colegio De Elzenhof (Hardenberg, Netherlands) Instituto Cervantes in Istanbul, Valencia, Universidad de Granada, Universidad de Valladolid, CEP Priego de Cordoba, CP Santa Lucía de Frailes (Jaén), Alcalá la Real (Jaén) , Valencia Funermostra (the number of the headquarters of the festival can be extended)
