Festival start: 19 November 2020      Festival end: 21 November 2020

Oviedo Music Video Festival

Sección Oficial : 500 euros
Sección Asturias: 500 euros

1. The Guidelines developed are valid for all participants in IVF 2020.

2. There is no limit to the number of works per author, provided that they have been produced after 1 January 2019.

3. All the pieces presented to the competition must be original. The participants ratify by signing these legal bases that they have the authorship and therefore the intellectual property rights (or the authorised licence for the use of the piece by its owners), as well as the assignment of the right to the image of the persons appearing.

4. In the event of non-compliance with the authorship, the person responsible will be solely and exclusively the person who has submitted the video clip, assuming, therefore, the consequences derived from any type of claim or legal action. Consequently, the organisation is exempt from any conflict derived from the non-authorship of the works presented.
5. Those works that have been sent to previous editions of this Festival will not be selected.

6. Three sections are established within the Festival.
6.1. Official Section: International Video Clip Competition.
6.2. National Exhibition: Exhibition of national video clips.
Asturias Section: Competition of video clips made by Asturian directors.

7. Two main prizes are established.

7.1. Official Section Prize: 500 euros (FIVE HUNDRED EUROS).

7.2. Prize RTPA to better Asturian video clip: 500 euros (FIVE HUNDRED euros).
7.3. The prize will be paid by bank transfer to the account indicated by the winners, within a maximum period of six months from the date of the festival.
7.4. In the event that any of the winners cannot attend the prize-giving ceremony, they must appoint another person to collect it in their place and send a video of their appreciation to be shown. In addition to notifying the organisation in advance of their absence, if these requirements are not met, the winner will not have the cash prize.
7.5. The winners must present the necessary documentation to make the corresponding payment within a maximum of 10 days from the date of the prize-giving ceremony. Failure to comply with this deadline implies the renunciation of the cash prize (although not the condition of winner).
7.6. The organisation reserves the right to make and deliver special mentions.

8. The sending of the works and their registration can only be done through Festhome (www.festhome.com)

9. Works may be sent until 30 October 2020.

10. The Festival will inform all participants by e-mail of the works that make up the official selection 2 weeks before the start of the competition. Each selected film will be personally asked to send a digital projection copy by e-mail.
11. The theme of the work to be presented is free, but any violent content that may offend the sensibility of the public will be excluded.
11.1 The organization of the festival reserves the right to disregard those works that it considers do not comply with the rules, do not present a minimum quality (we will be rigorous with those that do not respect the format of sending the works or exceed the time established for the duration of the projections).
11.2 The copies sent to compete will be kept by the festival organisation indefinitely, forming part of the archive material, and may be used for non-profit purposes.
11.3 The decisions of the Selection Committee and the Jury are unappealable.
11.4 The votes and the resolution of the jury are secret, personal and irrevocable. Voting will be by simple majority and will not be public until the moment of the awarding of the prizes. Subsequently, it will be published through the different channels belonging to the festival and other media.
12. The contestants assign to the festival the rights of total or partial reproduction of the works presented, both within the scope of the competition and through any of the means used by this festival to make itself known and promoted. This does not imply the loss of the author's rights by their owners, but rather the cession of these rights for non-commercial purposes linked to the festival.
12.1. The contestants authorise the festival to use, reproduce and distribute their name, as well as the works they participate in, the images and stills contained in these pieces, guaranteeing their use for the purposes stated above. In the event of winning, the works may be exhibited at other festivals or exhibitions with which it collaborates, with prior notification to the winners and with their consent. In this way, the participants give up the rights of exhibition in exhibitions that the Association organizes as long as these are free and without any profit motive in mind.
12.2. Any additional information or clarification will be provided by post, telephone or email.

13. All participants, by virtue of their status, accept these rules in their entirety, as well as the resolution by the Organization of any problem not covered by these rules. In case of any doubt, the Festival Organization's criteria will prevail.
14. The Organization reserves the right to modify these rules.
