The International Festival of Environmental Films Chefchaouen, is a film festival dedicated to film lovers and concerned about the environment in Morocco and abroad, it is an annual meeting in the beautiful blue pearl of northern Morocco, the tourist and ecological city Chefchaouen.

The 11th Edition of the International Festival of Environmental Films of Chefchaouen, will be held from 25 to 29 MAY 2021 on the occasion of World Environment Day.

A varied program and a jury made up of internationally and nationally renowned film professionals who will design the prize winners

Professional films:
The 4 awards:
- Grand Prix: Best Documentary Award
- Prize for the best short film on the environment.
- Best animated film award
- Special WWF Morocco Award:
A special prize will be awarded for the best feature film dealing with the theme of "water" or "wetlands"
Short films on the environment (amateurs): Three prizes will be awarded to the best films:
- Prize for the best short film on the environment.
- Best animated film award
- Special WWF Morocco Award:
A special prize will be awarded for the best short film dealing with the theme of "water" or "wetlands"

All prizes will be awarded at the closing ceremony (30 MAY 2020).

Article 1: Definition
The International Festival of Environmental Films of Chefchaouen is a competition open to environmental films made by professional and amateur Moroccan and foreign directors, whatever their age (> 16 years), and their experiences.
The 11th 202& edition of the (FIFE) DE Chefchaouen will take place from 25 to 29 May 2021.
The 11th edition of the 2021 (FIFE) DE Chefchaouen will also include a competition for amateur films on the theme of "the environment".
Article 2: Objectives
The 11th edition of the (FIFE) of Chefchaouen, is a cultural event that offers the opportunity for National and International Directors to present their Audiovisual productions to the public.
This International Meeting aims to promote sharing, exchanges between directors, film professionals, and especially spectators and interested in the field of the environment.
Article 3:
The International Festival of Environmental Films of Chefchaouen accepts films that have a close connection with the environment:
              -the professional films:
- The theme and genre: films of all kinds (documentary, animation) can be candidates for selection;
- Duration: the films are classified into two categories: short film (up to 20 minutes) and feature films (from 45 minutes)
- The director can present as many films as desired, but in the case of selection, the selection committee can only select one film.
                - Amateur films:
 - The theme and genre (documentaries, animation)
 - The maximum duration is 20 minutes (including the credits).
- The director can present as many films as desired, but in the case of selection, the committee can only select one film.
Formats: mp4, mov, mpeg, wmv ...
Supports: digital version (link sent via internet), DVD, BLURAY, USB key, Hard Drive (Hard Drive).
NB: The films sent by link (Vimeo, Dropbox ...) on the internet, if they are selected and are of good quality, can validly be projected for the competition.
Article 4: Registration
* For registration to be effective, the 3 copies of DVD must be accompanied by:
- Signed registration form, downloadable from the Festival website (http://www.festival.assated.com).
- Payment of the Festival duly signed, downloadable on the site of the Festival (http://www.festival.assated.com).
- the film data:
Photo of the director + the film poster or photos of the Film + CV + year of production + synopsis of the film (in Arabic, French or English) Will be sent to the e-mail of the festival: festivalchefchaouen@gmail.com
* DVD copies of the film must be of high quality, with English or French translation or subtitling. Or send download link of the movie in high quality (Vimeo, Dropbox, Youtube ...), This procedure allows the organizers to save time.
* The registration of films must be done before May 10, 2021. (The postmark is authentic), Write the words "for cultural and non-commercial purposes" on the sending package.
The cost of transporting the film and the presentation of all the documents at the festival office is the participant's responsibility.
* Correspondence and package must be directly addressed by post or courier directly to the following address:

Article 5: Preselection
All Films proposed and sent within the deadlines set in Article 4 will be the subject of a first selection;
The ATED association will designate a preselection committee that will select the films that will participate in the official selection for professional films, amateurs and films from school clubs.
The Festival will communicate the results of the selection through the Festival's Official Website page: www.festival.assated.com, and directly by email to the selected persons.
Article 6: Jury
A Jury will be appointed by the association and will include documentary film specialists for the three competitions
Article 7: Price
 The 3 prices:
* Professional films:
- Grand Prix: best documentary (10000 DH)
- Prize for the best short film on the environment; (8000 DH)
- Prize for the best animated film; (6000 DH)
- WWF Prize: A special prize will be awarded to the best feature film dealing with the theme of "water" or "wetlands"

* Amateur Movies:
- Prize for the best short film on the environment. (5000 DH)
- Prize for the best animated film. (3000 DH)
- WWF Prize: A special prize will be awarded for the best short film dealing with the theme of "water" or "wetlands"
* School environment club competition:
 A prize will be awarded to the best film and will bear the name "Akchour Prize for Best School Movie" (3000 DH)
All prizes will be awarded at the Closing Ceremony (May 29, 2021).
Article 8: Copyright
The producer or director agrees to be in possession of the musical, filmic or text rights of the works included in the film. If it is the opposite, the responsibility of the association can not be engaged.
Article 9: Presence of directors
-The presence of directors of selected films is mandatory throughout the festival period (to benefit from the prize money) if the film is a winner. In the case of not being able to attend, the director will nominate his representative during the festival.
- If the film is a winner and no representative of the film is present at the festival, the director will simply receive the certificate of the prize (scanned and sent by email) and the trophy to the extent that the embassy of the country (winner) is responsible for transmitting it by its means.
- The festival does not pay taxes or fees for participants.
-The association organizing the festival (ATED) supports the accommodation and catering of the directors in competition during the 5 days of the festival.
Article 10: Accreditation
- For those wishing to participate in this edition: festival directors, media, critics, ... request accreditation by completing the corresponding form on the festival website
Article 11: Accession
-Participation in the festival implies adherence to this status.
-Participation in the festival and adherence to its status implies the authorization to project extracts of the proposed film on television channels and on the Internet.
-The copies of the proposed films will be the property of the Talassemtane association for the environment and development and will be exploited only in non-profit cultural activities.
