After a 7th Edition with more than 11000 spectators in 2020, PLAY - Lisbon's International Kids Film Festival will be back in 2021 for its 8th Edition at Cinema São Jorge and Cinemateca Júnior, in Lisbon.

PLAY is the first Portuguese film festival, exclusively dedicated to children and teenagers, determined to promote the access to culture for a younger audience through Cinema and screening films for audiences aged between 1 and 13 years old.

Prize Money for "PLAY's Best Short Film Award". This award will be selected by a panel of judges composed by Film professionals.

All the films will be eligible for the "Audience Award for Best Short Film". There will be three winners in this competition: Audience Award for Best Short Film 3-5 years old; Audience Award for Best Short Film 6-9 years old and Audience Award for Best Short Film 10-13 years old.
This will be a Non-Monetary award and the winners will receive a certificate.
Best SHort-movie: Some of the short-movies will be elected for the oficial competition with a 1000€ prize.

Submission to the Festival is open to feature films, creative documentaries, experimental films, student films, short films and innovative visual productions for digital media completed after January 1, 2018. Films submitted for the 2020 Festival that are not selected, will not be reconsidered for the 2021 Festival.
