5000 euros

The Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation announces an award for an audiovisual project worth 5,000 euros, for the final production of the work. The objective of the award is to promote the dissemination, debate and reflection around bioethical issues with social impact, through a communication work aimed at the general public.

1. The submitted projects must address a social, health or scientific issue that poses an associated ethical debate. For example: genetic modification, assisted reproduction, human rights, transplants, doctor-patient relationship, aging, sexuality, end of life, environmental ethics, sustainability ...

2. The prize is aimed at young creators, postgraduate or master students, professionals and in general anyone with an own audiovisual project who wants to materialize and / or develop.

3. Projects of different formats can be presented: short films, reports, documentaries ... They can be unpublished projects or already started and pending development, but it will be necessary to provide some sample of the audiovisual material as well as the written memory of the project.

4. Candidates must submit a brief sample of initial images and two documents: a description of the project goals, no more than five pages in total (including schedule, format, locations, synopsis, CV of authors and estimated budget) and a statement of intent letter from a production company interested in producing the project in the event that it wins the prize. All documentation should be submitted online via the Festhome platform, and a copy of the project documents must also be sent to the offices of the Foundation.

5. The prize money of 5,000 euros will be paid directly to the production company responsible for the project, and this company must submit a report of how the money has been applied in the year following award of the prize. While the project is in production, both the production company and the prizewinner will receive support from the Víctor Grífols i Lucas Foundation with respect to the ethical aspects of the programme topic.
