Termita International Film Festival, now Termita, in his commitment with culture
has created and organizes this competition, with the aim to encourage the
audiovisual production.
TERMITA announces the 1st Termita Film Festival’s edition,that will carry out
these participation bases:
It will be developed in Termita Lab, Ponferrada, León ,Spain, from 2nd
October 2014 to 1st July 2015.
The festival takes up a cause total producer’s creative freedom , being opened to
any kind of work, that will compete with the others under the same conditions.
The size (look at article 4) is seasonal, having different sessions over the whole
year.

The judge who select the Works which will participate in the festival will be compound for several members of the organization.

The judge of the several stages, will be compound by the attending public to the
sessions,democratizing the critic.

This award will be given by Emilio de la Rosa in case the winner attend to the event.
The selected work for this award will be chosen by Emilio de la Rosa, from all the
participating Works from this technique indifferently from its format, genre or origin.
The organization would be able to grant other awards in extraordinary sessions.
Awarded Film’s producers and distributors must include a written reference about the award in all the audiovisual format and promotional material. Termita’s Festival
commits to provide logo for this aim.

Art.1-. ELIGIBILITY
Any audiovisual piece is accepted independently of the format, genre, length or
nacionality, experimental works, animation, documentaries, video art, videoclip,
advertising, pilot series, or any other, included. Shortfilms that have been received in
previous editions Won’t be acepted, and it has to be released in 2014
The Works that won’t be in Spanish must be subtitled in Spanish

Art.2-.FORMAT, WORKS AND FREE REGISTRATION
The Works must be sent in digital format H264, DVD or Blu-Ray, by www.festhome.com. They can also be sent by regular mail to the address shown below or to the diferent platforms where you can find us.

Any material that has been sent for registration or projection won’t be given back,
neither the festival will take any responsability from any cost.

Art.3- TERMS & SELECTION
Works can be accepted between 15 May 2014 and 15 March 2015. The works that have been received should make over a first filter by the organizational committee . The chosen works will be projected in different stages and groups where the public will value and select the ones which will pass to the next stage.
Oficial sections: Competition, Panorama, Magnum Opus
Other sections: Will be determined by the Selection Committee
The decisions that will be made will be notify a week before each projection and
according to the following stages.
The Committee will decide in which festival sections, competitive or non- competitive, will include the film.
The festival’s direction will establish the order and date of each films’ exhibitions
reserving the right to Project it for the festival’s dates in any Termita’s room.

Art.4- FESTIVAL’S FORMAT
The festival has a characteristic seasonal format, compound of diferent stages, where all the works face to the others, a microfilm can win best audiovisual work above full-length films or shortfilms. Through different stages reaching a higher level towards the award to the best seasonal audiovisual work, without any sizing, genre, or origin distinction
1. The first stage will be divided in :microfilms, shortfilms, medium-length film,
full- length film and Specials( videoclips, internet, series).Each one of these
categories is subdivided in: Animation, Terror, Documentary, Fiction,
Experimental and General. It will be developed between July 2014 and March
2015,in this period the registration Works’ term will keep opened , and these
works will pass automatically to the Selection Committee. Selected works will
be projected in the related section . The works with the highest score will pass
to the next stage.
2. The second stage, The highest score works will be projected in different
sections by genre and category. For example: The 30 best scores in Animation ‘s
shortfilms category. From each category the top 3 scores will be selected to pass
to the next stage.
3. The third Stage,the top 3 scores from each genre in every category will be
projected, at the end will only remain the top 3 selected in each category
4. The forth stage,the top 3 in every category will be projected, all together, for
instance:3 shortfilms and a full-length film or 2 medium-length film and 3
shortfilms, from this stage all the winners will be shown.
The organization reserves all rights to modify any of the stages, sections, or categories

Art.5- AWARDS

Art.6-.PROJECTION FORMAT
Digital format, preferentially H264.We accept any other digital, DVD, Blu-Ray.
Specifically, 35mm or video are not accepted.

Art.7-PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
Awarded Film’s producers and distributors will provide all the promotional material for its use in all the communication formats : programme, catalogue, website, etc. That should be applied in the communication department.
Posters and Film Promotional material will be also provided. If there is no tráiler, 10% of the film’s transfer will be accepted for its promotion in the net or in the media.

Art.8 .TERMITA LAB’S AUDIOVISUAL MATERIAL
All the registered works will make part of Termita Lab’s audiovisual material, reserving
the right to its exhibition in future programmes, non-profit.
Art9. HOSPITALITY
In July 2015, closing and awards ceremony will be celebrated. We would like to count of the presence of the awarded, unfortunately, the festival can’t cover the expenses, neither trasport nor accommodation.
The Festival commits to provide accommodation paperwork for the ones who would
like to come. If this wouldn’t be posible, the festival will send the award to the honorees

Art.10-HONOREES RESPONSABILITY
All the honorees that wouldn’t be able to assist to the event, must connect via Skype, in that day to recibe the award and interact with the public.

Art.11-RIGHTS RESERVED
The Festival’s organization keeps the right to make any modification through the
Festival.

ART.12 -REGULATION ACCEPTANCE
The participation in Termita’s Festival involves the acceptance from this regulation and mutual respect of the compromises assumed here.
The decisions and resolutions from the committee, jury, organization or Emilio de la Rosa are unnappealable and unquestionable.
