Début du Festival: 26 août 2019      Fin du Festival: 31 août 2019

AricaDoc continues to grow and we invite you to be part of our Third International Documentary Film Festival, which has been characterized as a window to the highlights of non-fiction in the Atacama Desert.

We look for films that go through the strengths and borders of the documentary, both experienced filmmakers and those who offer their first works to the public. This in the understanding that the universe of nonfiction is constituted by a multiplicity of forms, are these the most common of the genre, as those that investigate different expressive strategies.

We are also interested in those films that investigate the different forms of exploitation that affect human beings and their environment.

Another novelty is the Rainbow award, monetary benefit, which as we will see later, in addition to delivering resources, will help to promote the distribution of works online.

Although the Festival is considered as a non-competitive event, we want to leave the awarding of the works to the public by means of voting, since we believe that a good way to be part of this film event is also through the possibility that it has the community to express themselves and recognize the work of the filmmakers. Therefore, the distinctions in the categories will be the following:

Feature films
· Audience Award - Best Feature Film
· Audience Award - Honorable Mention

short films
· Audience Award - Best Short Film
· Audience Award - Honorable Mention

Documentaries by and for girls, boys and young people
· Audience Award - Best Short Film
· Audience Award - Honorable Mention

Rainbow Award

For the first time, AricaDoc will have the support of the free online film platform Arcoiris TV in its third version, through the delivery of 4 prizes of 500 euros (for short films) and 1 prize of 1,000 euros, for works highlighted by the public during the festival. Those who accept this voluntary recognition will also benefit from the online distribution of their films through the Arcorirs TV signal.

All films awarded by the public will receive a certificate issued by the Festival organization.
