Today it is difficult to find a person who does not take pictures. Photography has become available to everyone, and this has radically changed the way that photographs are represented. And this, in turn, changes its meaning. The thousands of static shots that we see every day nowadays convey the dynamics of our lives better than any other medium.

Our festival is dedicated to the rare genre of the photomontage, which is based on this aspect of the perception of photography and the variety of editing options, and our program shows vivid examples of film art created without expensive equipment and millions of budgets. And, as always happens with real art, these works are not forgotten immediately after the last credits, but remain with us for a long time.

The festival has no awards.

The film must be made using the technique of a photomontage.

English subtitles are required.

Films of absolutely all genres are accepted.

Our new festival called STRIP Berlin Photomontage Film Festival is dedicated to the rare genre of the photonovel, which is based on this aspect of the perception of photography and the variety of editing options, and our program shows vivid examples of film art created without expensive equipment and millions of budgets. And, as always happens with real art, these works are not forgotten immediately after the last credits, but remain with us for a long time.


The first edition will happen in winter of 2020 and everyone can submit their work made in this technique.
