The 4th COLOMBIAN QUEER FILM FESTIVAL is an annual non competitive LGBT film festival created by Fundación Cineteca Pública de Santander, to reward and celebrate each films of Colombian and international filmmakers, who make visible an aesthetic-political nature with discussions on gender, diversity of sexual orientation and identity along with films in commercial circuits and festivals, to generate intercultural encounters and consolidate organization processes and self-representation.
Gender doesn't define us. The sexuality-gender-body relationship surrounds us with inexhaustible questions and reflections. That’s why in this fourth edition we adopt the proposal to explore the different possibilities that this relationship offers in Cinema. #GENDERisOVER

The Cineteca is committed to:
1) Disburse a single payment through Paypal agreed to ($ 500 USD), five hundred dollars, destined as Public Prize. This is a cash prize in which the audience, at the end of the Film Festival, will determine their favorite film between the Colombian Queer Shortfilms Program, Latin American Shortfilms Program, International Shortfilms Program and Queer Feature Films.
2) Certify each filmmaker or representative of the exploitation rights of the respective film production, for the distinction of their work in the Film Festival.

Rights-holders will give us permission to exhibit their film for the 2019 edition of the 4th COLOMBIAN QUEER FILM FESTIVAL which will run from September 2nd to 7th. accepting films of all nationalities (short and long films) all of which are dealing with LGBT themes. The films are eligible for Audience Award, which will be awarded by the public jury in the different sections of the Film Festival: the Colombian Queer Shortfilms Program, the Latin American Shortfilms Program, the International Shortfilms Program and the Queer Feature Films Program.

ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS
The 4th COLOMBIAN QUEER FILM FESTIVAL is a non competitive LGBT festival. We notify ALL persons designated as “submitter” via email of their status by early June 2019. Those who are not selected will also be notified. The decision of the Cineteca’s programming team will be unappealable. Registration does not ensure the selection of the film. The programming team is not obliged to view works registered after the deadline. If you send a work-in-progress (WIP) short or feature length film, you may update your streaming link with a new version. If the film is selected you must send us a complete, final exhibition copy before Monday August 5, 2019. If you do not have a streaming link, you must contact us to receive instructions. All the information of the films that make part of the Official Selection will be published in a film catalog available at the Cineteca. All the activities in our Film Festival will be free entry. After each film screening, the audience can fill in a voting form and cast it into a box for the Audience Award. Eventually new prizes may be added, based on alliances and commercial agreements.
