9th INTERNATIONAL “THE SEQUENCE SHOT” COMPETITION OF THE Coro Vell SCV

The Film and Video section of the Societat Coral Joventut Terrassenca, helped by the Culture Department of the City of Terrassa and the Societat Coral Joventut Terrassenca, calls for entries for the 8th “EL PLA SECÜÈNCIA (THE SEQUENCE SHOT)” competition.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The competition is open to both, amateur and professionals of the audiovisual sector, with no geographical nor age restriction, as long as it is visual justified that the person is the author of the work and, as a producer, has all exploitation rights of the work.

Works that may take part are the ones that have already been produced (after January 2012) as well as new works produced specifically for the Competition. They all have to fulfill the following requirements:

The main challenge is to make the film by using a single shot: a long take (pla seqüència)

1. Regardless of the credits, the work must have a single shot with no cuts. If anything, the following exception will be allowed:
Still shots in real time or modified time (such as the time lapse photography). In this case mise en scène of the shot will be specially valuated.
Cutting tricks, in those works that use different camera axis for creating a more complex mise en scène. In this case special attention will be paid to the creativity for making the trick be unnoticeable.

2. There will not be any format or genre distinction (fiction, animation, experimental, musical-video, lip dub…)

3. All works must be under 7 minutes (credits not included)

4. Free topic.

5. Works that have already been submitted to the competition in previous editions will not be admitted.

6. No work produced before January 1st 2012 will be admitted. In case of being produced in a language other than Catalan or Spanish, subtitles in any of these two languages will be required. Subtitles must be encrusted into the video. Separate subtitle files will not be admitted.
