The Bastalavista is a Genre Film Festival established in Hannover (Germany) in 2019. The festival is founded and run only by two people: Wiebke and Johannes Thomsen, the two owners and operators of the awarded LODDERBAST movie theater in Hannover, with 28 seats on 39 squaremeters the smallest movie theater in the world and one of a kind with homemade food and more than 100 different craft beers. Starting on 29.05.2020 the Bastalavista is conquering the LODDERBAST movie theater for 17 days and more than 80 screenings, showcasing a varied selection of contemporary international genre films. All films will be reviewed as they are submitted, and the best in each category will be chosen to screen at the festival. A jury of industry professionals will then view the finalists and choose the winning selections. Filmmakers planning on attending should notify the film festival as soon as possible, so their names may be listed in the scheduled program at the venue where their film will be shown.

Cinema Maldà is actually the only old style cinema remains in the historic center of Barcelona, where you can enjoy the amazing and creative atmosphere of the city. ENTRY RULES ​ Submission Date: - Entries must have been completed on or after January 1, 2018. - We accept entries between 01/08/2019 and 01/03/2020 Language: - Foreign language movies must be subtitled in English or Spanish. For the selected movies in the official competition we will ask a spanish subtitled version for screening. Format: - We accept all kind of audiovisual works and any film genre: feature films (between 60 min. and 180 min.), short films (between 1 min. and 30 min.), documentary, videoclip ecc. SUBMISSION REGULATIONS Entry submission: - Entries must be submitted via an online platform and include a working screener accessible via that platform in order to be considered. Notification: - Films selected for screening will be notified on or around March 15th, 2020. REQUIRED SUBMISSION MATERIALS - Entry Fee paid via Festhome or Movibeta or Film Freeway. DVD are not accepted. Only by request we can accept files through Wetransfer or similar platforms. - A working screener accessible via your film’s profile on Festhome or Vimeo. We also welcome works in progress, trailers, reels and other kind of distribution material. TERMS AND CONDITIONS - The filmmaker has read and understood all the rules and regulations. The filmmaker is duly authorized to submit this film to the Primavera Film Festival Barcelona. - Primavera Film Festival Barcelona reserves the right to disqualify any submission without refund of submission fees. - Films could have publicly screened in the Barcelona area prior to the festival and world premieres are not requirements for Primavera Film Festival Barcelona, but this information is taken into consideration when making final programming decisions. - All accepted films may be screened more than once, and are scheduled at the discretion of the Primavera Film Festival Barcelona staff. - Films produced or financed by a major motion picture studio are eligible for festival screenings and also eligible for competitive awards. Films that have acquired distribution are eligible for festival screenings but are not eligible for competitive awards. - Upon submission, the filmmaker consents to allowing their screener material to be shared in its entirety with appropriate Primavera Film Festival Barcelona staff, including programming staff, volunteer screeners, and other appropriate members of staff; shared with press outlets in efforts to secure press for the film; with final jury members; and with select individuals representing community partners who may be interested in supporting the film’s screening or taking part in a panel associated with the film. -The festival is hereby also granted the right to utilize image(s) and/or biographical information of the filmmakers for promotional purposes. The festival reserves the right to fill in any information not supplied by the filmmaker from whatever source available and will not be responsible if incorrect information is entered. - It is the responsibility of the filmmaker to secure authorization for any copyrighted material that may be used in the film. The filmmaker shall indemnify and hold harmless Primavera Film Festival Barcelona from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. - Primavera Film Festival Barcelona does not pay screening fees or guarantee travel or distribution for filmmakers. Anyway we will be happy to invite all the selected filmmakers in Barcelona during the festival. - By submitting, the filmmaker expressly acknowledges and agrees that they shall be bound by the terms of this agreement.

Conditions: Only films never before shown in France are retained. The selection is made by a committee that changes each year and decides the annual official program. As well, Each year AVIFF creates collaborations with European and international festivals. Films in official selection of the year and previous years are presented according to a selection decided in agreement with the host festival. In particular: 'IMPAC' Festival (Pretoria South Africa), 'Bideodromo International Experimental Film Festival' (Bilbao, Spain) Part of the official selection of AVIFF is presented in New York at the 'Angel Orensanz Foundation' during the year and is the subject of an event organized by the foundation and the AVIFF team In 2020 a new collaboration with Richard Martin, Canadian film director, will lead to screenings of the official AVIFF selection in Vancouver (Canada) B&W: For each promotion of an AVIFF selection in another festival during the current year a promotional package of 150 euros will be asked to the directors whose films are included in this selection. They are of course free to refuse. In this proposal will be detailed the place, dates and presentation of the host festival Awards & Prizes 3 non competitive 'AVIFF Awards' are given out by the president of the Jury & selection committee. The AVIFF Selection Committee is the jury for the awards. An 'AVIFF-Angel Orensanz Foundation' Prize (NYC, USA) is awarded in the presence of the Artist and President of the Foundation: Angel Orensanz An 'AVIFF-Incognito' prize is awarded by Arnaud Brument gallerist in Paris and specialist in Video Art

TV Series + Podcast Interviews Filmmakers who receive Grand Jury Prizes, as well as several Official Selections, receive interviews on the "Discover Indie Film" podcast with head programmer Jeff Howard. This allows filmmakers to talk about their work and their history more extensively than a festival Q&A allows. In 2019 the TV series "Discover Indie Film" premiered on Amazon Prime Video. This series is an anthology of short films selected from the filmmakers he has interviewed on the podcast. Born in 2009 in order to highlight and encourage artistic expression, film and cultural identity of the region. Promoting the permanence of cultures and strengthening the cultural policies of the city as a mechanism for citizen and community participation; thus supporting the development, exhibition and dissemination of film and the visual arts in the city of Guadalajara de Buga and Valle del Cauca; proposing dialogue between the various expressions of art today and their participation mechanisms mainly in the youth population. This festival seeks to create spaces for discussion, artistic and audiovisual creation in a participatory manner. The festival became the first event of its kind in this area, for display, training, capacity building and collective on the subject of film and visual arts in Guadalajara de Buga and Valle del Cauca.
