Welcome to the Bristol Independent Film Festival! We are proud to announce that we are sponsored and will be screening at the Everyman Bristol Cinema! We are an IMDb Qualified event! In our first year, we received 3500 submissions with over 120 countries participating in our international film festival. We are the fastest growing and one of the most popular film festivals in the United Kingdom. We strive to bring filmmakers from all over the world under one setting. We continue to represent filmmakers from all levels and experiences. This year BIFF has decided to nominate one winner to receive $2500. To help filmmakers and scriptwriters grow, we have decided that everyone that submits will receive notes/ratings of their films/scripts by our judges! We aspire to promote, recognize and support independent filmmakers throughout the world by hosting a variety of awards in order to provide the best opportunities for filmmakers, helping them receive recognition. We welcome submissions from a range of genres including short films, documentaries, features, animations and screenplays. Our objective is to provide support for film-makers through reviewing, judging, marketing, and distribution networking. With our live screenings at Everyman Bristol Cinema, we aim to showcase and promote the work of filmmakers. We believe our film festival will give filmmakers a chance to showcase their work to a very wide range of audiences from many different parts of the world. Bristol Independent Film Fest is based in Bristol, with our jury’s located around the world including countries like Germany, Turkey and USA. All the films will go through a reviewable process by our highly experienced juries, who will go through an evaluation process and select the films. XII International Short Film Festival "VISION" was first launched in Siberia (Russia) in 2007. The Festival aims to demonstrate official selection films in three nominations: fiction film, documentary,animation; and includes an award ceremony and demonstration of films out of selection. The Festival also hosts workshops by movie critics and directors, and meetings with creative professionals. One of the wonderful traditions of the "VISION" Festival is the audience vote. Alongside with the professional jury, the audience gets to choose the best film by filling questionnaires. The best film chosen by the audience is awarded a special prize. The slogan of the Festival, "Share your Vision of the world", calls upon every young director to visualise his or her view on the world and share it with the audience. Each work is unique and addresses a certain category of viewers. It helps make the Festival programme diverse and versatile.

The Encuentro Hispanoamericano de Cine y Video Documental Independiente: Contra el Silencio Todas las Voces is a space to travel through various realities and aesthetics of Mexico and Latin America. Contra el Silencio it has its first edition in the year 2000, when practically the only film festivals that existed in Mexico were Guadalajara (1986) and Guanajuato (1998), and in general, at Latin America the situation was not very different, there were very few spaces that disseminated and gave recognition to the social documentary. From this same spirit and commitment to promote and support the documentary creation is that we come pleasantly to the eleventh edition to be held from April 20 to 26, 2020. In which we will have projections of the competitive sections, special functions, as well as academic activities and of training that promote criticism and reflection.

" Chris Gore, The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide Now in its 24th year, the FLICKERS' RHODE ISLAND INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL celebrates the independent spirit in film and has become a haven for independent filmmakers from throughout the world. In 2019, the Festival presented 321 films representing works that were shot and produced in 51 countries. There were 93 World Premieres and US/North American Premieres. Attending the Festival were 347 filmmakers, producers, cast and crew. FLICKERS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization that supports and promotes the film arts in Rhode Island and throughout New England. Over the past two decades, its production, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, has screened 5,426 independent films and videos out of 68,337 entries, presented 1,322 World/North American premieres, featured over 1,100 entries that were locally produced, and hosted 4,193 filmmakers and crew. Since its inception, over 453,000 film lovers have enjoyed the Rhode Island International Film Festival and its programming, not including those in New England watching its weekly broadcast and cable programming series, doubleFEATURE. HIGHLIGHTS: In 2002, RIIFF was selected as a qualifying festival for Best Short Subject through the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In December 2003, RIIFF was cited as "One of The Top 10 Short Film Festivals in the United States." In 2006, RIIFF was cited as one of the Top 12 United States Film Festivals by TravelSmart Magazine. In 2010, RIIFF launched the Flickers North Country Film Festival at The Balsams in Dixville Notch, NH as part of its outreach in cultural tourism. In 2010, RIIFF became a host for the annual Oscar® Night America for the state of Rhode Island. In 2011, RIIFF continued expanding its outreach across the state of Rhode island, hosting exhibitions, symposia, special events and outdoor screenings. RIIFF is also a member of the New England Film Festival Alliance, which it helped found with the Woods Hole Film Festival and the Martha's Vineyard International Film Festival. The focus has now become international in scope. In 2012, RIIFF solidified new programming models such as the Rhode Island Film Forum, ScriptBiz, the Future Filmmaking Symposium, and the Discover RI: Walking Tour, all free to attending filmmakers who have been accepted into the Festival. Programs continue to expand yearly including Acting for Camera Classes, Symposia and morning industry conversations. On April 25, 2013, the Festival was notified by the Bureau of International Information Programs at the U.S. Department of State that the Rhode Island International Film Festival would be featured as one of the nation’s top summer festivals for an upcoming social media campaign promoting international tourism to the United States. Eurochannel: a multi national, cable channel based in Paris, Sao Paulo and Miami agreed to become an official partner with RIIFF. The channel provided TV spots ten times a day during the month of August 2013 and had the RIIFF logo displayed on Eurochannel’s partner page. With IPads and smart phone devices the target platforms, Eurochannel provided both international and domestic visibility in niche cinema markets. Eurochannel is now an annual sponsor of the Festival. In 2013, RIIFF was selected as a qualifying festival for Best Documentary Short Subject through the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. In 2015, RIIFF became a BAFTA-qualifying Festival in the Short Film Division. RIIFF also partnered with Lexus Short Films and launched their 2015 Call For Entries. L’Europe autour de l’Europe - Festival of European films in Paris will run from March 15th until March 31st 2020 in Paris and Île-de-France. The festival will screen 100 films (63 features) from a total of 31 countries and 28 MEDIA participating countries.. The festival shows feature films, documentaries, shorts, animations, new media and experimental films. Two Juries will award the following prizes: Prix Sauvage for the best recent feature film (French premiere) and Prix Luna for the same selection, awarded by the jury of young cinema professionals and students. The ambition of the Festival is to stimulate the renewal of the European film production and emerging European talents by organizing professional meetings, press and pre-release screenings with producers, distributors and journalists.
