Blessed You is a festival of fiction, documentary, animation and video art short films directed by women and third genre. Each edition focuses on promoting film culture and cultural exchange between two countries or nationalities.

In its III Edition, the Blessed You Festival will be held at the same time at the Recoleta Cultural Center in Buenos Aires and at the BilbaoArte Foundation in Bilbao, where pieces by Spanish and Argentine filmmakers will be screened during the month of November 2019.

The III Edition of the Blessed Festival You will also have a special section dedicated to the Basque Country. Therefore, we invite the authors to register their work in this section (regardless of their category) if they have been developed or have a relationship with this region.

The screening of short films will be accompanied by debates and colloquiums that will seek to recall, question and promote the role of women within the societies in which we live.


· Generate a space to promote emerging talent.

· Reflect, debate and learn together from independent cinema in an international context.

· Encourage an inclusive view that drives a socio-political paradigm shift in favor of gender equality.

Women and third genre with Spanish and / or Argentine nationality (being able to reside anywhere in the world) that appear in the directing role of the short film sent.


· All short films must be sent through the platforms enabled for this purpose. Shipments will not be accepted through other means.

· Only pieces that have been completed after January 1, 2018 will be accepted.

· The duration will not exceed 25 minutes (credits included).

· Only one (1) short film per person will be accepted.

· The works must be unpublished and not previously shown on television or distributed publicly on the Internet.

· All short films must be subtitled in Spanish if the original language is different, and subtitled in English in any case.

· The selected authors (1) will be asked to copy the film in any of the following formats for screening: BluRay, ProRes HQ & H.264.

· Children under 18 must include in the registration form the name of the mother / father or guardian and the contact information.


Each work submitted must be accompanied by the following information:

· Original title and in Spanish
· Name and surname of the director
· Year of production
· Duration
· Brief synopsis
· Original part format
· 2 images of the movie
· Movie poster
· Document proving the nationality of the producer / s and a brief biography of the author / s
· Online private link and short film password

The inscription in Blessed You implies the acceptance of the present bases and conditions presented here, whose interpretation and application corresponds to the organization of the festival. After accepting the invitation, movies cannot be removed from the cycle schedule.

Blessed You inform the participants that all personal data provided by users will be treated according to art. 5 of Law 15/1999 on Protection of Personal Data of December 13.

Who owns the rights of the short film authorizes the free reproduction of images and inserts (maximum 1 minute) of his short film in press, television and publications in the promotion of each sample.

The participating filmmakers assume the authorship of their works and undertake not to present audiovisual, phonographic, musical and image materials on which they do not have duly accredited use rights. The organization is not responsible for the improper use of the intellectual property rights of the authors of the works.


The registration deadline will be September 22, 2019 inclusive.

The selected films will be announced via email and in our networks no later than October 5, 2019.
