Festival start: 25 February 2020      Festival end: 01 March 2020

Insólito is the first Festival in Peru dedicated to genre cinema, with an emphasis on horror and fantasy. Our mission is to motivate audiences to appreciate and vindicate this type of filmmaking, as well as support independent film projects. We believe that genre cinema has the power to move and inspire us, as well as provide a window through which we can interpret our own reality. Insólito is also firmly committed to providing a platform for new and diverse voices in horror and fantasy filmmaking to reach wide-ranging audiences eager to discover them.

And so begins another journey into the unknown. Insólito: International Horror & Fantasy Film Festival, will have its third edition from 25 February to 1 March 2020. Once again, the Mario Vargas Llosa Auditorium at the Peruvian National Library will serve as its main venue.

The positive reception from both specialized press and general audiences over its first two editions is enough for Insólito to renew its commitment to presenting the best of current international genre cinema: horror, fantasy, science fiction, exploitation and everything else that challenges and subverts more conventional forms of making and watching movies.
