"Muestrario Short Films in Projection" is a non-competitive Cinematographic Exhibition, Solidarity and Nonprofit, which seeks to position the short film as a piece of art in itself.

"Muestrario" is a permanent exhibition that want to promote film culture and creating new audiences through short films.

The screenings will be in the Auditorium of the Public Library of the State"Juan Jose Arreola" located on Periferico Norte Manuel Gomez Morin 1695, municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco. Mexico.

The screenings will be the second Friday of each month at 18:00 with completely free admission.

"Muestrario" its formed by a collective of independent filmmakers, so it does not belong to any public institution, private or academic.

The application of shortfilms and participation "Muestrario" is completely free, whether the film was made with the help of a film school, institution, public, private or completely independently.

RULES OF THE CALL.

ARTICLE 1.

"Muestrario Short Films in Projection" calls to short films & filmmakers regardless of origin, nationality, age, date of release or production.

The duration of the shorts must be at least 1 minute and 30 minutes max.

There is no restriction of gender, subject or any censorship.

The film should be a free artwork.

Only it asks that the works are original and have obtained all the rights and permissions for display.

In the case of adaptations, there must be corresponding adaptation rights.

Works in other languages than spanish, have to be subtitle to spanish or have to send a dialogue list in english.

Finished works Only. Not Work in Progress will be accepted.

The exhibition format will be Full HD and in MOV or MP4 only.

ARTICLE 2.

"Muestrario Short Films in Projection" has 4 sections for display:

1. Classic Muestrario.
This section its for short films with 10 years or more old, regardless of nationality, gender or theme.

2. Global Muestrario.
This section its for short films with 10 years old maximum, regardless of nationality, gender or theme.

3. Muestrario in projection.
This section its for short films with 5 years old maximum, regardless of nationality, gender or theme.

4. Muestrario Jalisco.
This section its for short films made in Jalisco, giving priority to works whose Director, Writer or Producer are from Jalisco.

There is no limit of of age, gender or theme.

This section not only wants to be a window to display the Guadalajara talent, try to create a real interaction between filmmakers and the public, encouraging feedback and constructive criticism, in favor of improving the Jalisco cinematography.
 
As will as a requirement for participation in Muestrario Jalisco, at least one person crew, (the director, screenwriter, producer and actors) must be present the day of the exhibition

ARTICLE 3.

To register and apply for a short film to the selection of Muestrario is necessary to complete the steps below:

a) Complete Registration Form Online or in Festhome and Filmfreeway.
b) Send a private download link (2gb maximum) or a Online screening link through
VIMEO or Youtube

Registration is free.

ARTICLE 4.

Submission entries to "Muestrario" begins the day after each screening and close the first Friday of each month.

A short film can be applied for one or more sections.

By postulating a short film, it will become part of the database "Muestrario", so you dont need to postulate month by month, it will remain in the shortlist contest for exhibition of the year.

As a short film accepted "Muestrario", it can not be removed from the schedule.

ARTICLE 5.

If a short film is selected, "Muestrario" will notify the candidate (director, producer, distributor or agent) to schedule the film.

This in order to have the presence of as many crew members (Only for Muestrario Jalisco Section).

The director, producer, distributor or sales agent of the selected short film will undertake to send the aforementioned materials and generate an invitation message in video to display in Muestrario, I this to promote it through social networks. (Only for Muestrario Jalisco Section).

"Muestrario" will not cover the costs for the generation of this promotional message, nor cover the costs of transportation, lodging or any other cost incurred for attending the event of any member of the crew of the selected film.
 
ARTICLE 6.
Curation and programming of Muestrario will be made by the group of filmmakers founders.

But month after month there will be invited jurors are film critics, intellectuals, local or international, always depending on availability and time of each of the jurors filmmakers.

Muestrario programming will be released on the first Monday of each month in social networks.

ARTICLE 7.
Each month edition of Muestrario, will program at least 1 and a maximum of 3 short film for each section, always depending on the time allotted exhibition by the State Public Library "Juan Jose Arreola".
