Kesari Movie and Music Awards celebrates artists in every niche.
We welcome any short films/documentaries/animated shorts/music videos/VR video from all genres.
We will not show your film on our web site so you do not have to worry about eligibility for any other festivals.
We accept the complete range of the spectrum of moviemaking namely, short films, documentary, music videos, TV series, Web Series, Youtube Series, Music Videos from specialists and amateurs.
Films of all budgets are welcome with open arms. We do not focus only on big budgeted films. We want to give recognition to creativity at all levels.

We are always growing, adapting and improving. Our goal is to help independent filmmakers get exposure and get rewarded for their hard work, dedication, and love of their craft. We plan on growing with each new season, and hope to provide filmmakers and moviegoers a rewarding, fun and enjoyable experience.
KMA is established to provide a thriving platform for the creative vision of today's emerging artists from all ethnicities. The film festival is a chance for filmmakers to heighten their professional presence by showcasing their visual creations to an influential audience, gaining critical media exposure while firming up industry relationships.
One of our top goals is to offer first-time filmmakers the opportunity to expose their films to large audiences, regardless of their age, and to help promote their talent. We aim to create programs that will lead to significant opportunities.
The objective of KMA is to provide support to independent filmmakers globally through reviewing, judging, marketing, and distribution networking. The selected high-quality films will have a chance to win awards such as trophies, certificates, laurels and monetary prizes.
All categories will have winner and Finalist/Nomination Laurel, meaning one winner will get the winning certificate and winning laurel while nomination will get to use the nomination laurel.
The Status of Official Selection and SemiFinalist is only for Films and not for individual artists and roles in movie making. They will only have nominations, which is equivalent to being a finalist, and one Winner.

These rules and terms may change to better serve the filmmakers involved in our festival.

Our judges have decades of experience in the film industry, theatre, singing and music composing, and they include two veteran local film financiers - who are always on the lookout for emerging film makers to finance/fund!
We are very fortunate to have them as guest judges for this competition...

Payment to the winners will be made only by Paypal. Paypal charges are included in the winning prize money and the final amount reimbursed to you could be less because it depends on the transaction fee of Paypal.

WINNERS (REMAINING CATEGORIES): All winners in the remaining categories will get a DIGITAL CERTIFICATE of Winning (Soft copy) which will include their name, project name, year and a personal appreciation note from the Festival organizer. Apart from the certificate they will get a Winning Laurel and Listing on our website as WINNER.

Apart from Winners, FINALISTS/Nominations will also get a listing on our website in their respective categories, in their respective selection status.

Winners and Finalists will be declared only on the Event Date. Only Selection, Semi-Finalists and Non selection will be notified till the notification date.

KESARI MOVIE awards (KMA) is an international film festival and accepts films from around the globe.
This is a green festival: only online submissions through FilmFreeway are accepted. We are exclusively available on Festhome only.

There are some easy, simple rules.

At the very least, we don't require a Premiere. We accept even if your movie has released in Public, VOD or any other form.

RULES

᛫ There is no restrictions on theme, genre or author.

᛫ Films must have been produced after 1/1/2014

᛫ Submissions in languages other than english must be subtitled in english.

᛫ You must declare to possess all rights to screen your movie.

᛫ Film Students have special discounts

᛫ Distributor may ask for special discounts.

᛫ Winners and Finalists will be declared only on the Event Date. Only Selection, Semi-Finalists and Non selection will be notified till the notification date.

᛫ You may submit multiple entries but each must be accompanied by its own submission form and entry fee.

᛫ Any filmmaker can submit any number of movies, there is no restriction of number of movies per artist.

᛫ Winning payment will be made exclusively by Paypal.

᛫ A Parcel Tracking number from the courier will be provided to the winners eligible to receive trophy. We do not own any responsibility and liability of the parcel once it is dispatched from our office. Upon mailing your trophy, if for any extenuating circumstances you are not able to receive it, there will be charges for a duplicate Trophy, Certificate and sending the Parcel. Please be advised that we do ensure that we send the parcel by a reputable courier service and this disclaimer is only in case of any rare extenuating circumstances.

᛫ Entry fees are nonrefundable.

᛫ By submitting you agree to share your data with our festival for promotional purposes.

᛫ Films must be submitted via Festhome only and must be subtitled in english. ALL THE FILMS (EVEN MOVIES WITH english AS SPOKEN language) must be subtitled in english to help viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing to follow the dialog, or people who cannot understand the spoken dialogue or who have accent recognition problems.

᛫ We have no obligation (other than as stated in these rules or on our website) to disclose any of the following information: i) identities of screeners or judges; ii) notes, feedback, or information relating to the submitted project; and/or iii) details regarding the submission review or selection process.

᛫ We reserve the right to add or remove categories depending on the discretion of jury members!

᛫ K.M.A. explicitly disclaims any liability or responsibility for any comments, notes, or opinions expressed about a submission, whether by K.M.A. or by its volunteers.

᛫ The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process and decision will be entertained. If your film is selected, you will be notified via email till the notification date. Please check your contact information.

᛫ Please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.

᛫ Winners receiving payment prizes are solely responsible for payment of all applicable online, local, state, national and international taxes.

᛫ If eligibility requirements are not met, we reserve the right to disqualify any submission.

᛫ The Festival organizing team may decide to suspend, modify the event if necessary.

᛫ The Festival organizing team has the right to advertise and publish news and pictures
about the selected movies and about the Festival itself on newspapers, weekly
publications and any support.

᛫ The jury in case of deserving works can assign special mentions.

᛫ The selection committee, designated and composed by Festival organizing team, will do the selections of the submitted films and proclaim the official selections, semi finalists, finalists and winners. The committee decisions are un-appealable.

᛫ The finalist authors will be advised by email.

᛫ The results of the selection will be published on www.kesarimovieawards.in and shortmovienews.online, together with info concerning location, date and time of the screenings and the award ceremony.

᛫ The call is open to all national and international works.

᛫ All films must be within a maximum duration of 30 minutes.

᛫ The theme of the works will be free.

᛫ Each participant may submit more than one work, but will have to perform registration
for each one of them separately and each category also separately.

᛫ Filmmakers should select the appropriate categories they wish to compete for.

᛫ Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright on their own materials.

᛫ By submitting to us, you give us the right to screen your film in front of a live audience.

᛫ We may promote clips from your film on social media.

᛫ We retain the right to change the date and venue of the festival under special
circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed about any changes through our online
platforms.

᛫ We retain the right to disqualify any movie based on the movie not meeting any of the above criteria or on any other grounds that conflict with the Film Festival Guidelines.

COMPETITION CERTIFICATION
I/We have read all of the rules & regulations, understand, and have complied with these rules.
I/We warrant the submission of my/our original work and that there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission.

I/We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead.
I/We indemnify the KESARI MOVIE awards and its organizers, promoters against any claim made for such violations of law.
To the best of my/our knowledge, all the statements herein are true and correct.
I/We understand that failure to adhere to the KESARI MOVIE awards festivals competition rules and regulations will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fee.
I/We acknowledge that once an entry payment has been processed, KESARI MOVIE awards will not provide a refund
I/We agree that the KESARI MOVIE awards retain the right but not the obligation to proceed with the issuance and sale of limited collections or single dvd's versions or blue ray's (from 5-1000 copies each) which contain part of the participants in the film festival without the prior permission of authors, producers and other actors, who with their submission in the festival, fully accept these without any objection and demand for
compensation. Any profits from these activities will be available exclusively for the coverage of functional needs and costs of the festival and the non-profit cultural and educational organization and coverage of educational and charitable purpose of the organization. Also, copies of submitting in the film festival will be available in any digital format, the library of the non-profit cultural and educational organization for the educational needs of its members and their cinema club. No revisions will be accepted once entry has been received.
I/We agree to hold the KESARI MOVIE awards harmless from and defend them against
all claims, demands, losses, damages, judgments, liabilities, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) arising out of or in connection with any and all claims of third parties, whether or not groundless, based on any film submitted to the Festival.
I/we understand that the festival projection format may change and I will be notified of the required format once my film is accepted.
