Historias en Kilómetros and La Rotativa welcome you to the first edition of the FICC-HEK Serranía del Perijá International Community Film Festival, in Tierra Grata Cesar, Colombia, which will take place from November 11 to 13, 2023. This festival is a commitment to build peace, memory, and social impact through cinema, using it as an element of reconciliation and collective reparation.

In 2015, Historias en Kilometros was born as a commitment to build peace from culture, and generates a social impact with what we are most passionate about - cinema. Today, with more than 15 local teams that have taken our audiovisual education in the country, we understood that we needed to take another step towards that horizontal society that we dreamed of. This is how the FIRST EDITION OF THE HEK INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY FILM FESTIVAL. A film festival in conjunction with LA ROTATIVA, a group of visual artists, signatories to the peace agreement, who bet on the image as a repairing element of social dynamics, at the service of people and communities.

Producers, directors and distributors from any country who own the author's patrimonial rights, intellectual rights and all other rights to the audiovisual work with which they are competing (broadcasting rights) can participate.

The participants declare that they own the rights to the audiovisual work they are applying for (including each and every one of the images, sound and soundtrack), and that they have obtained all written authorizations or permissions to participate in the Festival.

The Festival will consider the person or legal representative of the entity that submits their work, as an interlocutor to address issues related to their participation in the Festival, assuming full responsibility towards the people or groups involved in its production.

The Festival will not be responsible for any claim derived from the breach by part of the terms established in these regulations. Consequently, the participants release the Festival from any and all claims, lawsuits, trials and legal measures taken against them by third parties, whatever the reason. Similarly, they commit to guarantee, compensate and keep the Festival harmless against all expenses and fees related to legal proceedings and direct or indirect damages, as well as a possible sentences against the Festival, or payments resulting from a signed agreement. with the plaintiff.

-Only audiovisual works completed after January 1, 2016 may participate in the Festival.

-In order for the Selection Committee to view the film, it must be in Spanish, or subtitled in Spanish. The Festival is not responsible for the translation or subtitling of the participating films.

-Audiovisual works that do not have relevance to the themes related to the FESTIVAL will be automatically disqualified.

-A feature film or documentary must have a duration of more than 70 minutes while a short film must have a maximum duration of 15 minutes (including credits).

-All audiovisual works must be presented in their original version (An original version is considered to be any language in which the film is or will be broadcast in its country of origin).
