The International Street Film Festival is an annual celebration that showcases cinematographic works of exceptional quality that have been created independently and innovatively. This event seeks to promote and disseminate artistic expression through cinema, giving street filmmakers from around the world a platform to show their works to the public.
Our festival takes place in a variety of locations around the world, highlighting urban and outdoor spaces that allow audiences to enjoy a unique cinematic experience. We are pleased to present a wide selection of films that span diverse genres and themes, from experimental short films to documentaries, animated films and conventional narratives.

In addition to film screenings, the International Street Film Festival also offers a variety of activities and special events. These include workshops and lectures led by film industry experts, presentations of featured projects, talks with leading filmmakers, and post-screening Q&A sessions.

The Jury of the different official categories of the 1st International Street Film Festival will award the following prizes awards symbolized with our "Callejero" statuette.

I.- Feature Film: - Best International Feature Film
Best International Feature Film Award - Special Award of the International Jury - Best International Feature Film Award
Best Leading Actor or Actress Award
Best Screenplay Award
Best Documentary - Special Award of the International Jury Documentary
Best Musical Documentary Award
Best Musical Documentary Soundtrack Award

The awards will be announced at the closing of the event.

PRESENTATION

The International Street Film Festival exhibits international cinema in three competitive categories: International Feature Film, Documentary Feature Film, Musical Feature Film. Its non-competitive program includes historical retrospectives, spotlights on contemporary filmmakers, political, avant-garde and genre cinema.


1. OBJECTIVES:


The Callejero seeks to offer audiovisual filmmakers from around the world a space for dissemination and competition, along with promoting national and international audiovisual production of artistic quality.


2. DATE:


The competition will take place in the city of Lima, Barranco district, Peru, between April 26th and 28th, 2024.


3. CATEGORIES OF THE CONTEST


LONG FILMS:

I.- Feature Film Competition: Official Selection oriented to the exhibition of feature films, in the genres of fiction, documentary or experimental, Chilean or foreign, of a minimum of 50 minutes, finished in the formats established below (see screening formats in point 7, letter e). medium.For Short Film competition duration less than 60 minutes.

This category will be subdivided for registration, programming and awarding purposes into:

- International Feature Film Competition

- Feature Documentary Competition

- Musical Documentary Competition



There will be a single application form for these categories. Priority will be given to films that make their world or Latin American premiere at our festival. In the case of Peruvian films, the festival's programming team will determine which productions will be selected for each competition.

4. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

a) The works received for the competition, in the different categories, will be submitted to a pre-selection process carried out by the festival's programming team.

b) In order to participate, filmmakers must register on the FESTHOME web platform.

c) The registration of a work in this call for entries implies full acceptance of these rules. In particular, by the mere fact of sending the application form, the signatory declares to have the power and effectively authorize the public communication of the work during the festival period. The signatory of the application also declares that in the event that his/her project involves, affects or includes the total or partial use of works protected by national or international legislation on Intellectual Property, and whose copyright holders are persons other than the applicant of the project, he/she has the express authorization of

1. e) The organization of the competition reserves the right to make the decisions it deems pertinent in those cases not foreseen in these rules.

2. f) The producers and distributors of the films included in the Official Selection, as well as those that win awards in the different categories, undertake to include in their advertising and press material the phrase "Official Selection - 1st International Street Cinema Festival", using the Festival's logo. This commitment applies both to commercial releases in theaters and to the distribution of the work with or without physical media.

The producers and distributors of the films in the Official Selection expressly authorize Callejero to exhibit their works up to six (6) times in non-profit functions in Chile as part of the cultural extension of Callejero to the rest of the national and international territory. The applicant agrees to be aware of this clause at the time of submitting his/her application.

JURY

a) It will be formed by national and foreign personalities from the audiovisual, arts and culture fields.

b) Persons directly related to the works in competition will be disqualified from being part of the jury.

c) The jury's decision is final.

7. DATE OF REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF MATERIAL


8. a) Registration via the FESTHOME platform will be open until April 10, 2024 at 18:00 hrs. continental Peru (UTC-4) at the latest.

1. b) The Official Selection will be announced during the month of April 2024 on the website www.fetivalcallejero.com and its Fan Page. By the mere fact of applying to these rules, the selected works automatically agree to authorize image excerpts for the promotion of the Official Selection of the Festival through the media.

2. c) Non-selection will be communicated in due time via Festhome to the participants and in no case will the festival or the programmers provide explanations for this decision.

3. d) The original copies must reach Callejero no later than April 20th, 2024. e) The projection formats are: H.264 or MP4 files.

1. e) Only copies in NTSC standard will be accepted.
2. f) english-language feature films participating in the International Feature Film Official Selection must submit an exhibition copy with Spanish subtitles.

g) All selected films must send a .mov H264, ProRes 422 or Blu-Ray file of the film in addition to the exhibition copy.

3. TRANSFER OF PRINTS

4. a) Exhibition copies must be sent only by vimeo pro or we transfer or other special server.
5. b) The shipping costs of the works, both for the pre-selection and for the Official Selection, will be the responsibility of the applicant.

6. c) The film materials selected for the Official Selection must be sent with the necessary measures to protect their content.


7. INSURANCE OF COPIES


8. a) The competition is not responsible for any damage or loss occurring during the transportation of the copies.

9. The organizers reserve the right to modify the event due to force majeure. The selected films will not be returned and the organizers reserve the right to use them for purely commercial purposes and without any charge for the exhibition or for the public.
