The MUFEST, organized by the Association of Mulleres Andaina, promotes cultural growth and visibility of women filmmakers, producers and writers. The MUFEST supports the creation of new films showing new perspectives, social and cultural diversity and promoting visibility.

Prizes will be as follows:
- Best Fiction Film (750 euros)
- Best Documentary (750 euros)
- Best Short (300 euros)
- Special Mention To Best Film in Galician
- Audience Special Mention
The filmmakers that are awarded must be present to collect their prizes. If they are not accredited representative, associated or person connected with the work must collect the prize. Otherwise the prize might not be awarded.

a) Features:

This edition of the MUFEST is open to any female artist, director, producer or writer to submit his original work in Galician, Castilian or subtitled in one of these languages.
The works filmed entirely in Galician are eligible for the distinction of Best Work in Galego, not those who are dubbed or subtitled.

b) Requirements:

1. Films must be submitted for preselection via MUFEST or sending a secured link to info@mufest.org
2. There is no limit of films by author.
3. The films must have been produced after 2010.
4.Commercial films will not be accepted for advertising.
5. The maximum duration for short films will be 30 minutes; there’s no limit for feature films.
6. The topic is free and may participate in the festival those films chosen by the Pre-Selection Committee appointed by the MUFEST.
7. All works that do not meet the minimum technical qualifications for further screening and films which don’t comply with all the requirements stated in these rules will be rejected.
8. It is excluded from participation any person responsible for organizing the MUFEST.
9. The direction of MUFEST reserves the right to screen that films considered of high-level but not chosen by the Pre-Selection Committee.

3 .- PROCESSING

a) Registration and submission of copies:

The deadline for submission of films is from November 3, 2019 to January 7, 2020.

b) If your film is selected to be screened at the festival you must sent 2 BluRay copies (WITH subtitles if the original language is not Galician or Spanish) along with:
1) Title, duration and year of production of the work
2) Curriculum of the director, producer or screenwriter (maximum 5 lines)
3) Brief Synopsis
4) Curriculum of the film (participation in festivals, awards, exhibitions …)

c) Delivery costs will be covered by the participant and MUFEST will not be responsible for any damage or loss during delivery.
d) The films and documents will not be returned and will become part of MUFEST’ film library and Andaina Mulleres Association may exhibit them in non profit cultural activities.

4 .- JURY

a) There will be a Pre-Selection Committee to pre-select the shortlist. This Committee will assess all aspects of the film: idea, script, performance, interpretation, style, editing, photography.
b) There will be between 10 and 12 films in the shortlist.

- Best Fiction Film (750 euros)
- Best Documentary (750 euros)
- Best Short (300 euros)
- Special Mention To Best Film in Galician
- Audience Special Mention

c) The direction of MUFEST will name the Jury, women involved in the world of film and television, feminist art and professionally qualified.
d) Jury's decision is final.
e) The Jury, along with the direction of MUFEST reserves the right not to give an award in a given category.
f) MUFEST reserves the right to create a second prize if necessary to consider the recognition of some of the films.

5 .- EXHIBITION RIGHTS

a) The MUFEST may use photos, images or sounds of the films in order to promote the festival in the press, radio and TV.
b) The Participants authorize the use of their names on the Mufest website www.andainamulleres.org and in the media that are considered necessary for the promotion of MUFEST
c) All participants accepted this Terms and Conditions, and the resolution given by the organizers to contingencies that might arise.

The direction of MUFEST reserves the right to solve unexpected events the way it considers appropriate.
