FESTIVAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

RULES FOR SUBMITTING SHORT FILMS

Please download the application form (pdf format) to contest the “Paraj Mumbai Short Film Festival – 2014″ from the official website. Fill all the required details and submit the completed form to the FESTIVAL OFFICE.
(SPECIAL ENTRY FOR STUDENTS’ FILM SUBMISSION FEE OF RS.1,500/- ONLY, WITH STUDENT’S IDENTITY PROOF)
1- Entries on clearly hand-written or typed Film Submission Form.
2- Duration: SHORT FILM should not exceed 30minuts including titles.
3- Eligible Films are the films which have been produced after 1st January 2012.
4- Film is to be sent in the DVD (PAL) format,
(Other formats (DVcam, Mini DV,VHS,CD) will not be accepted).
5- There has to be only ONE Film on a DVD
7- Two copies of the DVD of the same film to be submitted.
8- Suitable for all audience: No obscenity. No Nudity. No Excessive violence. Short films deemed Obscene or Defamatory will be disqualified.
9- DVD is to contain only the Film without any menu, promo-reels, etc.
10- Please include (on a separate sheet) a brief typed summary of your short film. (Synopsis, Filmmakers’ Biography and Contact Information etc.)
11- At the moment of submitting the Film, it is to be accomplished in all respects.
12- Film is to be accompanied with the English subtitles (if it is in other than the Hindi language).
13- Film copies submitted to the Film Festival will not be returned to the entrants.
14- All screening rights are reserved to the Screening Department of PMSFF.
15- During the Screening of the Short Film, the film maker or his spokes person should be present.
16- Travelling – Boarding and Lodging expenses are to be borne by the entrants (Short film Makers).
17- Short film’s Wall Poster Design in a Hard Copy (4 X 3 feet size) to be sent along with the entry.
18- Working Stills: If available, 3 Photographs of your working shots on the location must be submitted in Hard Copies (3X6 size) are to be sent along with the entry.
19- Each filmmaker may submit up to unlimited entries
20- Entry fee for one short film Rs.3,000/- (For Professional Film Makers) and Rs.1,500/- (For Student Film Makers). D.D. should be drawn in the favor of “Paraj Mumbai Short Film Festival ” Payable at Mumbai/by CASH.
21- Students have to enclose their STUDENT ID proof (issued by the Schools, Colleges, Institutes and Training Centers along with the Photo copy of their ID)
22- All submission fees are non-refundable.
23- In All cases, the Festival Jury’s decision is final.
24- Agreeing all these policies the film producer need to sign the entry form and send it to the Festival Director. Without valid signatures the Entry will be rejected.
25- Please mention the Mobile Number and Email ID for the communication.
26- Submitted film with Full HD 1080p and 16:9 aspect ratio would be better.
27- Any kind of influencing the festival office or the concerned personnels, to get the Prize or the Final Listing will lead to rejection of the entry without any information to the producer/director/team.
28- Requesting to Screen the Film more than once will not be considered for competition.
29- Film schedule can’t be changed for any reason. Only the festival organization has the full right to schedule. Any influence or force to change date or time will result in rejection of the entry.
30- Rejected film DVDs and Fee are non-refundable
Reason which may lead to the film rejection:
i. Incomplete application form.
ii. Bad DVD quality or incorrect file format.
iii. Not following above given terms and conditions.

iv. Last date for submission of the film is 10th August,2014.

Please enclose contact number and e-mail id of at least one duly authorized person of your team for contact purpose.

An acknowledgement e-mail from the registered e-mail id of the Festival Office will be sent to the entrant once the valid entry is received.

The Jurisdiction of the festival matters is Mumbai Courts only.
