Retama, Latin American Film Festival, was born in search of an intermediate and nodal space that reflects on the forms of representation of territories, social and ethnic groups from the cinematographic perspective, as well as as a place of vanguard of the most daring contemporary Latin American cinema. daring and innovative.

By sending their films, those responsible agree to own all the rights to exhibit and screen them, exonerating the Festival from any responsibility.

The requirements by category are:

TEARS OF FIRE, LATIN AMERICAN FEATURE FILM COMPETITION.
Adopting the name of the film by Mélinton Eusebio and José Huertas, considered the initiating work of the regional cinema movement in Peru, this category includes feature films (60 min or more) that portray spaces, communities and/or social groups, coming from any Latin American country.

The films must have been produced from 2021 onwards.

UNFINISHED MEMORIES: LATIN AMERICAN SHORT FILM COMPETITION
Our Latin American short film competition (30 min or less) takes its name from one of the first short films filmed in 16 mm in Ayacucho, during the 1983 decade, a foundational film about memory processes from cinema and one's own perspective. This category addresses Latin American works that discuss intimate, collective and social processes, coming from any Latin American country.

The films must have been produced from 2021 onwards.

RETUMBAR, REGIONAL VIDEO CLIPS COMPETITION:

The sound of our territory has crossed the sound limits and has been transformed into pulsating images. This is our regional video clip competition, open to works filmed in our region (Ayacucho) or made by Ayacucho artists.

The works have no limit on the date of completion and a maximum of 2 video clips can be sent per artist.

ALL WORKS THAT ARE NARRATED IN A LANGUAGE OTHER THAN SPANISH OR QUECHUA MUST HAVE SUBTITLES.
