Main Awards:

"Golden Colosseum" Award for Best Short Film: Recognition for the best unpublished short film presented at the festival, evaluated for excellence in narrative direction and technical innovation.

"Ettore Scola" Award for Best Work: Awarded to the best work among the short and medium-length documentaries and docufilms in the
"Award Winning" section that demonstrates overall excellence and cultural impact.

Awards for Specific Merit:

"Silver Colosseum" Award for Best Screenplay: Recognition for the most original and challenging screenplay among all categories.

"Silver Colosseum" Award for Best Male and Female Performer: Awarded to the best actors for their performances in the films presented.

Awards and Thematic Categories:

"Cinema Solidale" Award: Awarded to the best film that deals with issues of social inclusion, multiracialism and other important social problems.

"Italian Cinema" Award: For the best short film produced in Italy or by Italian directors.

"Spanish Cinema" Award: For the best short film produced in Spain or by Spanish directors.

"Best Documentary or Docufilm" Award: Recognition for the best achievement in the documentary and docufilm category.

"Animation" Award: Awarded to the best animated film.

"Environment Nature Animals" Award: For the best film that explores environmental issues or issues related to the animal world.

"Students" Award: Dedicated to the best productions created by secondary school or university students.

Special Mentions:
Best Cinematography: For the film that demonstrates extraordinary mastery of cinematography.

Best Soundtrack: For the film with the most innovative and impactful soundtrack.

Best Editing: Awarded to a film that excels in the art of editing, significantly contributing to the narrative of the film.

Registration Method:

Directors interested in participating in the "Roma Film Corto" can register in two ways:

Via Email: By sending the requested material to info@romafilmcorto.it, which includes the completed participation form, the synopsis of the film, biographical notes of the director and other information required by the announcement.

Online Platforms: Using primarily the Festhome.com platform, which allows for effective and secure management of registrations and materials sent.

Materials Required for Registration:
To complete enrollment, the following materials must be provided:

Complete Participation Form
Release signed by the film rights holder
Synopsis of the film
Biographies of the director and main collaborators
At least two still photos and a photo of the director or artist.

Sending Videos of the Registered Works:
Each author can send up to two videos of the registered works. Videos must be sent in Mp4 or Full-HD MOV format via downloadable links. For videos not in Italian, it is necessary to include subtitles in Italian to ensure understanding by the jury and the Festival audience.

Registration deadlines and Fees:

Registration is open until October 15, 2024 at 11.59pm. Registration is free, but it is important to respect the deadlines to guarantee the evaluation of the work by the jury.

Privacy, Rights and Obligations:

Participants accept that their personal information will be used for the management of the competition and the promotion of the works. The organization may use extracts from the selected works for promotional activities. Participants are responsible for the content of their works and must ensure that they do not violate any legal regulations, including copyright and privacy laws.

Selection process:

The works will be evaluated by an artistic direction and selection committees for originality, technical and artistic quality, and relevance of the theme. A limited number of works will be selected for the final competition based on the scores awarded during the preliminary evaluation.
