Created by the Locarno Festival in 2014, Industry Academy is an intensive training program whose objective is to foster innovation in young professionals in the film industry, working specifically in the area of independent film circulation: online and traditional distribution , sales, film marketing, exhibition, festival programming, among others. The workshop acts as a shortcut for a new generation of professionals entering the independent film industry, encouraging their development and helping them better understand the challenges of the industry, as well as expand their networks. The objective of Locarno Industry Academy is also to build bridges of collaboration across different markets in Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, South Africa and South Asia.

La convocatoria WIP Latino 10 del GuadaLAjara Film Festival (GLAFF) apoya largometrajes de cineastas latinx, latinoamericanos y BIPOC radicados en EE. UU., en fase de montaje o postproducción temprana. Busca impulsar proyectos con corte preliminar entre 60 y 140 minutos, que requieran al menos dos procesos adicionales de postproducción, brindando premios en especie, servicios profesionales y un estímulo económico. La inscripción es gratuita y se realiza en línea, mediante un enlace protegido de visualización. Los proyectos seleccionados se presentarán en noviembre de 2025 en Los Ángeles, recibiendo visibilidad y asesoría especializada. El participante debe ser mayor de 18 años, con rol clave en la producción, y no estar inscrito como estudiante a tiempo completo. Los proyectos elegidos deberán incluir los créditos de GLAFF y WIP Latino al finalizar su proceso. GLAFF - WIP Latino
Tres Puertos is a workshop with residency-like characteristics for feature film projects in the development stage. Throughout its history, it has held sessions in Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico. The workshop focuses on both the narrative, aesthetic, thematic, and conceptual aspects of the projects, as well as on production-related areas and financing circuits. Tres Puertos does not work with thematic modules but rather approaches each project based on its specific needs.

Australab - Three Ports
La Burbuja Lab announces its third edition of the Film Residency for Women from Central America and the Caribbean in 2026. This residency is aimed at female filmmakers developing their first or second feature film, whether fiction, documentary, or animation. Over eight days, selected participants will engage in an intensive program of creation, guidance, and collective reflection, designed to strengthen their cinematic projects.
Participants will receive specialized mentorship in directing, screenwriting, production, portfolio design, and pitch preparation. The program also includes masterclasses and opportunities to connect with networks of women in film, fostering professional and creative exchange. The residency will take place at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, from June 22 to 29, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the artistic and professional development of emerging filmmakers in the region, providing concrete tools to advance their projects toward production and exhibition stages.

La Burbuja Lab
The Izmir Film Lab 2025 will take place during the 26th Izmir International Short Film Festival, from 14 to 16 November 2025 at the İzQ Entrepreneurship Center.
The call is open to short film projects in development—fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, fantasy, horror, or music video—as long as the final work does not exceed 30 minutes. Both national and local (Izmir-based) filmmakers are welcome.
Selected projects will be presented through a 5‑minute pitch before a professional jury, followed by networking sessions with producers. Participants also gain access to training workshops on sustainable film production, directing, image techniques, new technologies, and distribution.
The Film Lab is supported by companies such as TamTam, Rollart Film, Public Film, Fono Film, Serpil Altın Film, and Mediacast Film Lab, offering awards and production services to outstanding projects.
