The 2025 Shorts México Short Film Script Competition is open until May 31, 2025. Mexican citizens or residents may submit original, unfilmed short film scripts. Scripts must be a maximum of 10 pages, written in Spanish, in industry-standard screenplay format, and registered with INDAUTOR. Author names must not appear on the script.
Submit your PDF script, along with proof of registration and payment, to guionshortsmexico@gmail.com. Entry is via FilmFreeway or FestHome.
Winners will be announced on August 20, 2025. The first prize is $7,000 MXN and the second prize is $3,000 MXN. Selected scripts will be published in the official festival catalog and awarded a certificate of participation.

Shorts Mexico - Short film script
The Mexican Short Film Pitching Competition at Shorts México 2025 invites Mexican filmmakers, producers, directors, and film students or residents in Mexico to submit multiple short film projects in Spanish, on any theme. Scripts must be registered with INDAUTOR. Submissions are open from February 17 to May 31, 2025. The winning project will receive an in-kind prize valued at approximately $800,000 MXN for short film production, including filming equipment provided by CTT Exp & Rentals. The competition will take place on September 13, 2025, in Mexico City.

Shorts Mexico - Short Film Pitching
The Rotterdam Lab 2026 is a program for emerging international film producers seeking to expand their professional network and develop feature-length projects with international co-production potential. It is open to independent producers, freelancers, or junior producers in production companies, with no age limit, who have completed at least two short films and are working on their first or second feature.
The program prioritizes diversity and inclusion, especially welcoming applicants from minority, indigenous, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, disabled communities, or underrepresented regions in the international film industry.
Selected participants receive full access to IFFR Pro and CineMart 2026, including accreditation for meetings, screenings, networking events, and five nights of accommodation. Travel expenses are not covered.
The lab takes place during the International Film Festival Rotterdam, from late January to early February 2026. Applicants must submit an application form, CV, and motivation letter, with an optional portfolio or dossier. The main focus is on the international potential of the project and the producer’s ability to contribute to and benefit from the lab.

La Hollywood Storytellers Script Competition es un concurso internacional de guion abierto a largometrajes, cortometrajes y pilotos de TV en cualquier género. El plazo para inscribir guiones termina el 2 de noviembre de 2025. Los guiones deben enviarse en inglés, en formato PDF y respetando los límites de páginas según la categoría. El jurado está formado por profesionales de la industria cinematográfica de grandes estudios como Disney, Netflix y Warner Bros. Los participantes pueden solicitar feedback ejecutivo opcional con posibilidad de reenvío sin costo adicional. Los ganadores reciben laureles, certificados, difusión a contactos clave y la invitación para asistir al evento presencial que se realizará en Los Ángeles el 21 y 22 de marzo de 2026. Este festival ofrece una oportunidad valiosa para guionistas que buscan visibilidad, networking y conexión directa con profesionales de Hollywood. Las tarifas de inscripción varían entre 28 y 80 USD, con descuentos disponibles.
