ECM+LAB 2026 is the 10th Mercosur Co-Production Meeting, held as part of the FAM 30 Years festival in Florianópolis, Brazil. This special edition expands its scope to Ibero-America and is designed to foster partnerships, financing strategies, and international co-production opportunities for audiovisual projects in development.
The call for applications was open from March 31 to May 10, 2026, including the deadline extension. The in-person event will take place from September 4–6, 2026, within the broader FAM festival, scheduled from September 3–9, 2026.
The program welcomes international submissions from Mercosur and Ibero-American countries, including Spain and Portugal, as well as other associated territories. Eligible projects include fiction, documentary, and hybrid feature films.
ECM+LAB combines laboratory and market activities, offering training sessions, project mentoring, networking opportunities, and co-production meetings. Selected projects may also receive support to attend the event in person, making the program an important platform for the development, positioning, and internationalization of audiovisual projects.

ECM + LAB (Industry)
The Curt Creixent 2025 Pitch Call for Script Projects is open to filmmakers developing a short film script. Eligible applicants must be born, registered, or have a production company based in the Valencian Community. Up to 6 projects will be selected to participate in a professional pitch session, including mentoring and one-to-one meetings with industry professionals.
Applicants must submit an application form, a project dossier (synopsis, treatment, artistic intentions, budget, and production plan), the creator’s bio, and proof of connection to the Valencian Community. Projects must still be in the writing stage and not yet filmed.

Curt Creixent - Pitch
The pitch call for short films in postproduction at Curt Creixent 2025 is open to filmmakers born or registered in the Valencian Community, or with production companies based there. Projects must be in postproduction, with a final runtime not exceeding 40 minutes. Up to four short films will be selected to present in a professional pitch session during Curt Creixent, held from June 23 to 25, 2025, in Valencia. Selected projects will receive feedback from a panel of experts and participate in a preparatory training workshop. Additionally, the winning short film will be acquired by the Institut Valencià de Cultura for exhibition in various venues, with a special focus on non-commercial public screenings after its festival run. Registration is free and must be completed by May 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Required materials include a link to the rough cut of the short film, a project dossier with relevant information, and promotional materials.

Curt Creixent - Postproduction
The Spanish Film Academy opens applications for the 2025-2026 Residency Program, aimed at filmmakers developing audiovisual projects with a strong connection to Madrid.
A total of 20 projects will be selected, providing financial support, personalized mentorship from industry professionals, and a dedicated workspace at the Academy’s headquarters. Participants will also have access to training sessions and networking events organized by the Academy and Madrid City Council.
The program lasts nine months (from October 2025 to June 2026) and is open to both Spanish and international creators.

Film Academy Residences - Madrid
The LATINX 2025 Latin American Argument Contest, organized by the Latin American Training Center (LATC), targets emerging screenwriters, students, and recent graduates from Latin America with no produced feature films. The call accepts up to 3-page synopses for fiction or documentary feature films centered on the theme “Latin American Places.” Applications are open until July 2, 2025, with various fees and discounts for diversity and inclusion groups, as well as a social fee waiver option. Prizes include cash awards, coaching sessions with renowned screenwriter Kate Lyra, Final Draft software licenses, and books. The jury comprises distinguished film and drama professionals from Brazil and Peru. This contest offers a great chance for new Latin American talent to advance their projects and gain specialized mentorship.
