Industry Meeting and XR experiences in Ñuble
The MAFF call is open to feature film projects in development from production companies based in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America. Eligible genres include fiction, documentary, or animation with a minimum runtime of 70 minutes and at least 20% secured financing. Short films and series are not eligible.
Projects must have legal production backing, including rights agreements with writers. Preference is given to directors with no more than three previous works. For co-productions, documentation must reflect the participation percentages between countries.
Application is free and open until November 12, 2025. Selected projects will be announced during Ventana Sur. Attendance at the event is mandatory for producers and/or directors.
Pitch sessions will be held in English. Selected teams must authorize promotional use of their materials. If awarded, the film must include the MAFF – Festival de Málaga logo in its credits. Any breach of rules or false documentation may result in disqualification and a five-year ban.

Through Open Doors' public and professional programs, we aim to provide a space where talents find support in every step of their creative and professional journey and where discussion and reinvention of today’s cinema can happen among free voices.
The ultimate goal of the Open Doors is to contribute to the development of a more collaborative worldwide film community without borders, while making the independent scene stronger and more sustainable.

Locarno Open Doors
JIIFF Lab Call: for director–producer teams from Ibero-America with a fiction feature in advanced development. Requirements include an online form, duo’s CVs and photos, synopsis, treatment, detailed budget and financing plan, technical sheet, and directing/production notes. Eight projects will be selected, receiving travel and accommodation, professional mentoring, and eligibility for the Pfeffer del Sur Fund (US$ 50 000).

JIIFF LAB
Impulso Morelia 11 calls for Mexican feature films (fiction or documentary) in postproduction to participate in its 2025 edition. Selected projects will be presented to international experts (programmers, distributors, producers) to receive feedback and support for completion and circulation.
The call closes on July 23, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. CST. Results will be published on August 26, with the in-person meeting taking place October 13–15 during the 23rd FICM.
Eligible projects must have a rough cut between 70 and 120 minutes, directed by Mexican citizens or legal residents in Mexico, and must not have participated in other work-in-progress programs or previous Impulso Morelia editions.
Awards include the José María Riba Prize ($250,000 MXN), postproduction services worth over 1 million pesos, and promotional support.
