ConectaLAB is an audiovisual laboratory organized by the CREA Association and sponsored by the Xunta de Galicia, aimed at screenwriters and directors based in Galicia who are developing feature film or series projects in fiction or documentary. The application period for the 2026 edition runs from October 27 to December 20, 2025. Selected projects will take part in a seven-day artistic residency from April 14 to April 20, 2026 on San Simón Island in Pontevedra. This call is only open to Galician authors, meaning international submissions are not accepted. ConectaLAB focuses on creative development and scriptwriting, offering professional script and directing mentorship during the residency. It accepts projects in the following formats and genres: feature fiction films, feature documentaries, TV fiction series, and TV documentary series. Eligible submissions must include at least a complete first draft for feature films or a pilot draft for series, along with a project dossier. Up to six projects will be selected to participate in this intensive development experience.

The theme of the scripts is completely free and may belong to any genre. All works submitted must be original. If the contestant uses a novel, a short story or a text by another author as the basis for the script, the contestant must include in his or her registration the corresponding authorization from the author of the original work.

Script Competition - IBIZACINEFEST
The Co-Pro Pitching Sessions 2026 are part of the Series Mania Forum and are aimed at live-action fiction series projects in development seeking international co-production and financing. This initiative functions as a professional pitching forum, designed to connect producers with potential partners, financiers, and distributors.
The call opens on October 7, 2025, with a submission deadline of December 1, 2025. The program is open to international applicants, welcoming producers from all countries. Eligible projects must be live-action fiction series, excluding animation and documentary, with a minimum of three episodes, each lasting at least 26 minutes.
The event will take place in person in Lille, France, as part of the Series Mania Forum. The main activities will be held from March 24 to March 26, 2026, including pitching sessions and one-to-one meetings with industry professionals. Selected projects will also benefit from online coaching sessions scheduled between February and March 2026.

SERIES MANIA FORUM
The IBF Classic call from the IDFA Bertha Fund targets filmmakers from selected countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Oceania working on creative documentaries. It aims to support projects in development, production, or post-production. The call primarily accepts feature-length documentaries, though some short films may qualify if they meet quality and country criteria. Series, interactive projects, or academic content are not eligible.
Applications for the 2026 round close on February 10, 2026. After review by experts and a selection committee, results are generally announced in April or May, at which point selected filmmakers receive funding. There is no formal award ceremony, but funded projects may be showcased at festivals or industry markets for visibility.

IBF Classic - IDFA
ComedyLab 2026 is a comedy project development lab organized by TorinoFilmLab in Italy. It is open to screenwriters and comedians worldwide, aiming to develop feature-length comedy projects through in-person and online workshops. All project materials must be submitted in English, which is also the working language of the workshops and activities.
The program runs from March to November 2026 and includes multiple sessions: a preliminary workshop in Turin at the end of February, workshops in Belgium and Poland in April and June, online sessions in September and October, and a final project presentation in Turin in November.
Applications are open internationally until December 12, 2025, and focus exclusively on feature-length comedy projects. Participants without a project can also join to collaborate on selected projects.
ComedyLab provides an opportunity to strengthen comedic writing skills, creative collaboration, and the professional development of projects within the audiovisual industry.
