Izaña Lab is designed by a team that faces the challenge of filmmaking daily, who understands that a film is the result of continuous trial and error processes. The entire process is, in reality, a laboratory, where the experiment is tested, analyzed and repeated. Each film is a prototype, and although we dream of replicating success stories, reality shows us that the way to position a product as unique as a cinematographic creation in the market requires inventing new formulas that fit each case.

WIP:LAB is a training and analysis space for emerging filmmakers of Ibero-American non-fiction cinema. The objective of this program is to support the completion of feature-length documentaries through narrative resources. Those responsible for the selected projects will receive advice from prominent national and international professionals. They will also have the possibility of accessing a series of incentives and prizes designed to support the completion and distribution of their work.

DOC:LAB is the documentary project development laboratory of #LINK, the Industry area of FIBDA. Aimed at future Ibero-American feature-length documentary films, DOC:LAB seeks to consolidate the different stages in the process of a film – script writing, financing strategies, production and distribution – through specialized consultancy with internationally relevant professionals.
