La convocatoria VdR–Work in Progress del festival Visions du Réel está dirigida a documentales de largometraje que se encuentren en fase avanzada de postproducción. Busca proyectos con al menos 10 minutos de material ya editado, ofreciendo la oportunidad de presentarlos ante profesionales de la industria, como distribuidores, agentes de ventas, canales de TV y festivales.
Pueden participar proyectos de todo el mundo, siempre que sean largometrajes documentales y estén casi terminados. Se valorará la calidad artística, el potencial internacional, la viabilidad financiera y la experiencia del equipo. La presencia del director y del productor en el evento es obligatoria si son seleccionados.
El objetivo principal es facilitar conexiones profesionales y acceso a fondos para finalizar la película, así como apoyar su distribución y estrategia en festivales. La inscripción se realiza online en inglés, con subtítulos en inglés para material audiovisual en otros idiomas, y existe una pequeña cuota de participación. Los proyectos seleccionados reciben acreditaciones, entrenamiento de pitch, participación en presentaciones y reuniones uno a uno con profesionales del sector.

VdR–Work in Progress
The Writers’ Vision Pitch at Seriencamp is aimed at creators of fiction series looking to present their projects in development. Applications for the 2026 edition are open until January 18, 2026, with the live pitch taking place on June 9–10, 2026 in Cologne, Germany, including mandatory pitch training on the first day.
The program welcomes projects from any nationality, provided they are in English, and accepts all fiction genres, from drama and thriller to comedy and sci‑fi. The main goal is to provide visibility for series in development, allowing writers to present their first season to industry professionals and access networking and mentoring opportunities.
Only fiction series with a minimum of four episodes are accepted, including miniseries and short-form serial formats. Documentaries, animated series, or children’s series are not eligible. Participants must be the original creators or hold the rights to the project, which should not be previously tied to production companies or distributors. The pitch offers a platform to enhance the project and increase its international exposure.

Writers's Vision Pitch - Seriencamp
El Rough Cut Lab, que se llevará a cabo durante los VdR–Industry Days (del 6 al 9 de abril de 2025) en Nyon, Suiza, es un laboratorio competitivo diseñado para apoyar a los cineastas en el proceso de edición, ayudándolos a encontrar la mejor dirección creativa para sus películas.
En este taller, que forma parte del programa VdR–Industry, se trabajan cuatro cortes preliminares junto con el equipo de filmación y tutores, quienes son editores experimentados y profesionales de la industria. Además, la participación en este laboratorio, concebido como un trampolín para documentales creativos, brinda la oportunidad de tener reuniones seleccionadas con una amplia variedad de compradores que asisten al programa de la industria.

VdR–Rough Cut Lab
Generación J 2027 is a training and development laboratory for film projects organized by the José Ignacio International Film Festival (JIIFF) in Uruguay. It is aimed at emerging screenwriters and directors from Latin America aged 32 or younger who are developing fiction feature film projects. Its objective is to strengthen the artistic quality of projects and provide professional tools through mentoring, meetings, and networking activities with audiovisual industry specialists.
The call is free of charge and includes the selection of ten participants: five from Uruguay and five from other Latin American countries through partner institutions. The application deadline is November 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., while the opening date is not specified. The laboratory will take place in person from January 28 to 31, 2027, at Casa Neptuna, José Ignacio, Uruguay, under the coordination of screenwriter and director Anahí Berneri. JIIFF - Generación J
CPH:FORUM 2027 is an international financing and co-production market for audiovisual projects, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, as part of CPH:DOX. Its upcoming edition will take place from March 16 to 18, 2027.
The call is open to filmmakers and producers from around the world and welcomes creative documentaries, hybrid fiction and non-fiction projects, investigative documentaries, and works related to audiovisual art, science, and technology. It accepts feature-length projects of at least 52 minutes, series, and new media, which may incorporate complementary formats such as short films, installations, and non-linear works.
