Women Work in Progress is a program of the Cerdanya Film Festival aimed at audiovisual projects in postproduction, led by women under 30 seeking guidance and feedback from leading professionals in the audiovisual industry, as part of the festival’s Industry Days.
The program is structured around a closed-door, private screening session, where creators present their films in progress to a panel of professionals, followed by a dedicated work session with them.
Projects can be submitted in rough cut or editing phase.

FICC - Women WIP
Som Cinema Lab/Pro is an initiative of the Som Cinema Festival aimed at screenwriters and directors from the Terres de Ponent region. Its goal is to support the development of short films in Catalan at the script stage, offering collaborative workshops to improve and refine selected projects.
The call is open from June 13 to September 5, 2025. The workshops will take place from October 22 to 26 during the main days of the festival. Projects must be fiction and written in Catalan. There is no specific genre, so dramas, comedies, thrillers, narrative animation, and other fiction styles are welcome.
Selected projects will receive professional mentoring and have the opportunity to screen their short film in future editions of the festival. The winner will participate in the Talent Meeting at the Galacticat Festival 2026, while finalists will attend the Animac Festival 2026. The initiative aims to promote local talent, strengthen Catalan audiovisual culture, and foster collaboration among participants.

Som Cinema Lab/Pro
El Concurso Michoacano de Guion de Cortometraje 2026, organizado en el marco del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), está dirigido exclusivamente a autores nacidos en el estado de Michoacán o a personas que puedan comprobar una residencia mínima de tres años en dicho estado. La convocatoria está enfocada en el desarrollo de proyectos de cortometraje a través de la presentación de un guion original, con tema libre y una extensión máxima de ocho páginas.
Las postulaciones estarán abiertas hasta el 31 de julio de 2026 a las 17:00 horas. Los guiones deben enviarse en formato PDF y cada participante podrá inscribir únicamente una obra. El certamen forma parte de las actividades del FICM, cuya 24ª edición se celebrará del 16 al 25 de octubre de 2026 en Morelia, México, donde se realizará la premiación correspondiente. La convocatoria no acepta postulaciones internacionales, ya que está reservada para la comunidad michoacana por nacimiento o residencia.

FICM - Michoacan Short Film Script Contest
Elkarrekin Sortzen is an artistic residency for filmmakers interested in developing audiovisual projects in a collaborative environment. It is open to women of all ages and nationalities with projects in Basque or Spanish, at an early stage of development.
The program includes monthly meetings in Bilbao and an intensive week in a rural house in Bizkaia, where participants share their projects, receive feedback, and work on improvements. Mentoring sessions and opportunities to present projects to professionals in the Basque audiovisual industry are also offered.
The residency aims to foster collaboration, mutual learning, and visibility for women creators in the audiovisual sector. Active participation and commitment to the program are highly valued.
Applications close on August 25, 2025. The program provides a supportive and stimulating space to advance projects, build professional networks, and strengthen creativity in a collaborative environment.

Elkarrekin sortzen – Etxe Betea
A Shelter of One’s Own is an international artistic residency by Etxe Betea aimed at women filmmakers worldwide who face structural, political, or social barriers in developing their film projects. It is particularly focused on creators from contexts of armed conflict, political repression, lack of freedom of expression, or limited audiovisual production infrastructure.
The residency provides a safe and supportive space for creative work and reflection, with professional guidance and a feminist approach. It includes nine months of accommodation in Bilbao, a €5,000 grant for project development, and monthly mentorship sessions. The participant may propose a mentor, who will be reviewed and confirmed by the residency team.
Projects can be feature films of any genre: fiction, documentary, experimental, animation, or hybrid. Films can be developed in any language, although all documentation and residency processes must be submitted in Spanish or English. This initiative seeks to promote diverse voices in cinema, creative freedom, and cultural rights, supporting those who face obstacles in bringing their work to life.
