Cine Pendiente 2025 launches the “Corto y Claro” call for short film projects, aimed at directors, screenwriters, and producers. Four projects will be selected to participate in group feedback sessions and comprehensive training activities. The goal is to strengthen projects through personalized guidance and to prepare production and distribution strategies based on each project’s development stage.

Activities will take place in person and require the active participation of at least the main creator of each project. It is important to note that Cine Pendiente does not cover travel, accommodation, or material preparation expenses, which must be borne by the participants.

This call offers a valuable opportunity to enhance the development and visibility of short films in progress, through professional and collaborative support in a learning environment.

The FicCali Film Producers and Projects Salon emerged 7 years ago, as an initiative aimed at strengthening the film industry of Cali and Valle del Cauca, within the framework of the Cali International Film Festival. The positioning of the Festival invited us to reflect on the importance of generating a space dedicated to the world of film production that would work in at least two ways: as a means to explore emerging film projects in Valle del Cauca and as a tool to prepare and promote participating producers for an international audiovisual market environment.

Proyecciones WIP is a call for Cine Pendiente 2025 addressed to directors, screenwriters, and producers of feature films, series, or new formats in post-production. Four projects will be selected to present a 10 to 12-minute excerpt to a professional audience made up of festival programmers, exhibitors, distributors, producers, international sales agents, and buyers. The screenings will take place at the CCCB as part of the L’Alternativa PRO program. Selected projects will receive a grant of 300 euros to cover expenses related to the mandatory stay during the event, contingent on full participation of the team in the program. To be eligible, feature films must have a minimum 40-minute cut for the selection committee’s evaluation, while series or new formats must have at least one pilot episode. The excerpt presented must include subtitles in Catalan or Spanish and English if the original language is different.

The Mentoring Projects call of Cine Pendiente 2025 will select five directors, screenwriters, and producers with nonfiction and/or experimental feature film projects in the writing phase. The one-year program includes group and individual sessions with industry professionals, coordinated by Gabriela Iacob, offering intensive work on projects with mentorship from renowned experts.

A complete script is not required, but an eight-page treatment is necessary to participate. The program covers scriptwriting, dossier presentation, financing strategies, contract drafting, distribution channels, and audience design. Meetings will start in person during the Alternativa festival and continue online.

At the end, each selected project will receive a €2,000 grant to cover expenses related to attendance at Alternativa PRO, document writing and translation, and other program-related costs. The grant depends on full participation in the program.
