The Cerdanya Film Festival announces the call for Pitch Links, its professional networking space for audiovisual projects in pre-production or production stages. It targets feature films, short films, series, and transmedia productions in fiction, animation, or documentary.
Projects with a gender perspective, historical themes, social outlook, or sex-affectivity, and those written and/or directed by women, will be especially valued. Dossiers must be submitted in Catalan or Spanish.
Selected projects will be presented on August 2, 2025, in Puigcerdà, during a pitching session before industry professionals. Participants will receive personalized mentorship and a €100 grant to facilitate attendance.

The Extremadura Film Residency is an international development lab for feature film projects in the development stage. The program is open to filmmakers from Spain, Extremadura, Portugal, and Ibero-America, accepting fiction, documentary, and animation projects. Over the course of one year, participants receive tailored mentoring, script and project development support, in-person residencies, online consultations, and access to industry activities, including participation in MAFIZ at the Málaga Film Festival and other professional events.
The 2026–2027 call for applications is open from July 1 to September 1, 2026. The residency program runs from November 2026 through November 2027, combining on-site sessions with online mentoring. The program is exclusively focused on feature-length projects in development and is designed to strengthen their creative vision while supporting financing, production planning, and international market positioning.

Extremadura Film Residency
Som Cinema Lab/Pro 2026 is a training and professional laboratory aimed at screenwriters and directors from the province of Lleida or Terres de Ponent, Spain. The call will be open from June 14 to September 6, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Four short-film scripts written in Catalan will be selected. Projects must have at least a completed, sequenced, and dialogued first version, be unpublished, and not have been filmed. The script may have a maximum of 20 pages. No specific film genre is specified.
The program aims to improve scripts through working sessions and provide tools to present and defend projects before production companies. Finalists must participate in all Lab/Pro activities and selected Som Cinema 2026 activities. CIIF Market 2026 (Canary Islands International Film Market) will take place from October 26 to 30, 2026, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. It is an international co-production market designed to connect audiovisual projects with producers, distributors, sales agents, funding organizations, and investors through pitching sessions, one-on-one meetings, and networking activities.
The call is open to international submissions and welcomes fiction and documentary projects, as well as transmedia, crossmedia, and multiplatform proposals whose main component is a cinematic work. Eligible formats include feature films, series, miniseries, and docuseries in development.
The submission period runs from July 8 to September 6, 2026, with September 6, 2026, as the final application deadline.

CIIF Market
El Concurso Michoacano de Guion de Cortometraje 2026, organizado en el marco del Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM), está dirigido exclusivamente a autores nacidos en el estado de Michoacán o a personas que puedan comprobar una residencia mínima de tres años en dicho estado. La convocatoria está enfocada en el desarrollo de proyectos de cortometraje a través de la presentación de un guion original, con tema libre y una extensión máxima de ocho páginas.
Las postulaciones estarán abiertas hasta el 31 de julio de 2026 a las 17:00 horas. Los guiones deben enviarse en formato PDF y cada participante podrá inscribir únicamente una obra. El certamen forma parte de las actividades del FICM, cuya 24ª edición se celebrará del 16 al 25 de octubre de 2026 en Morelia, México, donde se realizará la premiación correspondiente. La convocatoria no acepta postulaciones internacionales, ya que está reservada para la comunidad michoacana por nacimiento o residencia.
