PLATINO NEXT GEN is an audiovisual development lab organized by EGEDA, based in Spain, aimed at strengthening film projects from the Ibero-American region. The call is open to creators working in fiction, documentary, and animation, particularly those with projects in development or pre-production stages.
Applications were open from March 12 to April 10, 2026. The program takes place in several in-person stages between July and October 2026, hosted in different Spanish cities including Madrid, Santander, and San Sebastián.
This is an international initiative that accepts submissions from across Ibero-America, not limited to Spanish nationals. Its main focus is the comprehensive development of feature film projects, with emphasis on financing strategies, production structuring, and pitching preparation for industry stakeholders.
The lab combines training, mentorship, and direct access to audiovisual industry professionals such as producers, platforms, and funding bodies. It is designed as an industry-driven space to support projects in reaching viability and international circulation.

We open our call for filmmakers and producers Latin Americans and/or based in Latin America who currently
have a short film or feature film project in development documentary, fiction, experimental or animation in the native language of the Peru or Latin America.

Originario Lab
The ALGA Ibero-American Residency 2026 is an in-person training opportunity for filmmakers and audiovisual professionals with feature film and series projects in development. Applications are open until January 31, 2026 and the program is open to international applicants from Ibero-America, Spain, and Portugal, with no genre or theme restrictions. It accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental projects in development. The residency takes place in Valdivia, Chile, in four-week sessions divided into Group 1 (April 27 – May 22, 2026), Group 2 (June 1 – 26, 2026), and Group 3 (July 6 – 31, 2026). Participants receive creative and industry support, training activities, and dedicated time to develop their projects. This program aims to strengthen and support emerging audiovisual works during early stages of creation.

El Venice Production Bridge 2025 se celebrará del 28 de agosto al 3 de septiembre durante la 82.ª edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Venecia. Esta plataforma está diseñada para impulsar la financiación y coproducción de proyectos audiovisuales en etapas avanzadas de desarrollo. Reúne a profesionales de la industria internacional a través de actividades como el Venice Gap-Financing Market, donde se presentan largometrajes de ficción, documentales creativos y proyectos inmersivos que ya tienen al menos el 70% del financiamiento asegurado.
Otras secciones clave incluyen Final Cut in Venice, dedicada a películas en postproducción provenientes de África y del mundo árabe; el Book Adaptation Rights Market, que conecta a editores y agentes literarios con productores; y el Venice Immersive Market, orientado a experiencias XR, VR y AR. Además, el programa Meet the Streamers facilita el contacto directo con plataformas de streaming y VOD. En esta edición, Reino Unido, Chile y Marruecos serán los países en foco, con actividades especiales de visibilidad e industria.

Puente de producción de Venecia
The Huesca International Film Festival Pitching is a platform designed to support emerging filmmakers in developing their short film projects. It welcomes various genres, including fiction, documentary, animation, experimental films, and music videos, aiming to connect creators with producers interested in fostering new talent.
Selected projects present their ideas in a live ten-minute pitching session, followed by a Q&A. Participation can be in-person or online, and invited filmmakers receive a diploma, as well as one night of lodging and a meal if attending in person.
The call is open to projects in development or text form, regardless of the filmmaker’s nationality. Required materials include a synopsis, team CV, and the script or treatment. The submission deadline for the 2026 edition was March 19, 2026, and the pitching session will take place on June 11, 2026, in Huesca, Spain. This event is a key opportunity for young filmmakers seeking visibility and professional support within the short film industry.
