The Fundación RIO Call, part of the International Film Festival of Lebu, aims to strengthen the Chilean audiovisual industry by supporting fiction and documentary short films up to 30 minutes, excluding pure animation and completed projects. It is open to individuals or legal entities based in Chile, with a focus on projects from different regions of the country. Submissions are accepted from December 29, 2025, to April 15, 2026.

After the deadline, a committee evaluates the projects and selects preselected participants, who present a live pitch during BioBío Conecta 2026, between April 27 and 30, 2026. Notifications to preselected projects are sent approximately 12 days after the submission deadline.

The winning project receives a financial award to support production of the short film, along with visibility and networking opportunities. This call seeks to decentralize the Chilean audiovisual industry, providing space for creators from various regions and promoting both national and international exposure for their work.

Animac Incubator is the project development platform of the Animac 2026 festival, held in Lleida, Spain, from February 19 to 22, 2026. The submission deadline for animation projects to pitch in front of industry professionals is January 20, 2026, and the call is international, accepting entries from any country. This platform is designed for animation projects in development (pre-production, production, or post-production) to be presented in pitch format with the aim of receiving expert feedback and growth opportunities. Animac Incubator is not focused on finished works; instead, it supports projects under development and does not specify traditional finished formats (such as short film, feature film, or series). Instead, it welcomes animation project proposals of any final format as long as they are in a developmental stage suitable for pitching. This call is ideal for creators and production teams seeking to advance their projects before completion.
