Pitch Vertical Series 2026 is an international call based in Spain, organized within CONECTA Magaluf-Mallorca, focused on vertical fiction series in development created for mobile viewing. The updated submission deadline is March 17, 2026, and the event will take place in person from May 25 to May 28, 2026 in the Balearic Islands. It is open to legal entities of any nationality, including production companies, distributors, and broadcasters, which means international applications are accepted.

This call belongs to the Pitch category and will select between 3 and 5 finalist projects to be presented before executives and potential industry partners. It only accepts vertical fiction or microdrama projects in live-action, with episodes lasting 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes, between 50 and 90 episodes per season, in 9:16 format. Animation and documentary projects are not eligible, and all submissions must still be in development, without pre-production or production already underway.

The Episodio 0: Series in Development call is part of the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG 41), held April 17–25, 2026. Its aim is to connect Ibero-American series projects in development with producers, distributors, and streaming platforms.

Up to seven projects will be selected in fiction, animation, or documentary that have not yet been filmed. Each submission must include a full dossier, a teaser, and proof of at least 10% secured financing.

Selected projects will receive free access to one-on-one meetings with industry professionals, Industry accreditation for two representatives, a spot in the digital catalog, and up to four nights of accommodation. Participation is free, though travel and meals are the participants’ responsibility.

Applications are accepted exclusively online through Eventival, from August 21 to October 24, 2025 (6:00 pm, Mexico City time).

FEMCINE LAB 2026 is a development lab based in Chile aimed at Chilean and Latin American women directors who are developing their first feature film. The call accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental projects, provided that applicants already have a script at the time of submission. The program focuses on creative guidance and mentoring for projects in development, strengthening both narrative and audiovisual aspects.

Applications are open until March 25, 2026. The lab will take place in person in Santiago, Chile, from May 6 to May 9, 2026, during morning sessions. This is an international Latin American call, open to applicants from across the region in addition to Chilean participants. Only first feature-length film projects are eligible, meaning short films, series, and completed works are not accepted.

The Chilean Film Festival (FECICH) has opened its industry section with the “Cine Chileno en Construcción” call, aimed at Chilean filmmakers with projects in post-production. The call is exclusively for national works, in fiction and documentary genres, accepting both short and feature films. Short films should range from 5 to 30 minutes, while feature films should be between 60 and 100 minutes.

FECICH’s Industry section focuses on supporting projects in development, helping them reach completion and connecting filmmakers with audiovisual companies and institutions. Selected projects can participate in the Work in Progress competition, receiving feedback and visibility opportunities.

Applications close on Monday, January 5, 2026, and the competition will take place from January 28 to 30, 2026, as part of the festival running from January 24 to 30, 2026, in Quilpué, Chile. This call represents a significant opportunity for Chilean filmmakers seeking support and exposure for their projects in the final stages of production.

The 2025 call for Cine Chileno del Futuro (Development line) targets Chilean feature films (fiction or nonfiction) in the scriptwriting or early development stage. Projects must be directed by Chilean filmmakers or permanent residents, and filmed mostly in Chile. The submission deadline is June 10, 2025.

Selected projects will receive specialized mentoring in scriptwriting and narrative development, provided by national and international professionals. The mentoring process will begin in August and continue through December 2025.
