The Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy Workshop is an in-person training program taking place in Madrid, Spain, as part of Iberseries & Platino Industria 2026. The application deadline is June 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM (GMT+2). Up to 25 participants will be selected. Applicants must hold a valid professional accreditation for Iberseries & Platino Industria and submit a fiction project that can benefit from the workshop’s strategic and market-oriented approach.

Thinking Like a Producer: Creative Business Strategy – Iberseries & Platino Industria
Euro CineLab 2025 is a training and production lab aimed at emerging and self-taught filmmakers from Central America, organized by Cineuropa in collaboration with the European Union Delegations in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The program focuses on short film production, with the central theme being "self-portrait." Participants will receive 40 hours of theoretical and practical online training over ten days in March 2025. Through this lab, filmmakers will learn how to develop a short film between three and ten minutes long. The five best works from the 25 selected, one from each country, will receive a 500 € prize and be screened at European film festivals held in each nation. Additionally, festival audiences will have the chance to vote for the Audience Award. This project provides a unique opportunity for emerging filmmakers to gain professional experience and showcase their work in an international setting.

Euro CineLab
The Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI) has opened registrations for its "Laboratorio de Imágenes" (Image Laboratory), organized by its FICCI Academy. This event will take place from April 2 to 5, 2025. Registrations are open from February 26 to March 11, 2025.
The Laboratorio de Imágenes is presented as a space dedicated to the exploration of ideas and narratives, with the goal of strengthening independent cinema and projecting the future of Ibero-American cinema. Image Laboratories - FICCI
The International Co-production Meeting (EIC) 2026, part of the Ícaro International Film Festival in Central America, held in Guatemala, is an audiovisual industry initiative focused on strengthening film projects in development through regional and international co-production strategies. The call is open to Spanish-speaking directors and producers from around the world with feature film, documentary, animation, or television series projects.
EIC 2026 will select 12 projects to participate in a professional training and industry networking process. The first stage will take place online from August 8 to 13, 2026, including individual mentoring sessions and masterclasses focused on pitching, project presentation materials, co-production strategies, distribution, and market development. The in-person stage will be held from November 23 to 28, 2026, during the 29th Ícaro International Film Festival in Central America, featuring industry meetings, market sessions, and project presentations.

ÍCARO - International Co-production Meeting
The Ibero-American Audiovisual Project Development Course (CDPAI) has opened its call for the 2026 edition, aimed at filmmakers from the Ibero-American community who are developing audiovisual projects. The program focuses on strengthening creative, narrative, and production aspects through an intensive training process with specialized mentoring.
Applications are open until March 2, 2026, and the course will take place on-site in Madrid, Spain, from September 28 to November 6, 2026. It is designed for projects in fiction, documentary, and animation, in feature film and series formats, currently in the development stage.
CDPAI operates as a development laboratory, combining training, creative guidance, and a final pitch presentation. It accepts international applications from Ibero-American countries, including participants based in Latin America and Spain, with different application pathways depending on the applicant’s country of residence.
