The workshop is dedicated to directors and scriptwriters with a project in an early stage of development – initial idea, synopsis, short treatment – for a short film of any kind (animation, documentary, experimental and fiction) from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Lebanon, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey.

ShorTS Development Pitching Training
IDFAcademy is an intensive four-day program held within the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA), aimed at directors and producers working on their first or second feature-length documentary. It targets filmmakers who have demonstrated national talent and seek to expand internationally. The program includes talks with renowned filmmakers, panel discussions, case studies, and networking events focused on global documentary market trends and challenges.
Applicants must submit a form including their biography, filmography, motivation, and learning goals. Optional materials include ongoing projects and audiovisual samples. IDFAcademy is not a traditional project development lab but a professional training and networking platform.
The application deadline is August 1, 2025, and the program runs from November 13 to 16, 2025, in Amsterdam. About 100 participants from around the world will be selected.

IBERMEDIA NEXT, es una iniciativa del Programa IBERMEDIA destinada a la aplicación de nuevas tecnologías en el ámbito de la animación digital y de los contenidos audiovisuales con alto porcentaje de animación. MIPCOM - Cannes
La Residencia FERATUM 2026 es un laboratorio internacional de desarrollo de guion organizado en México, dirigido a guionistas, directores y productores con proyectos de largometraje de ficción en etapa de desarrollo dentro del cine fantástico. La convocatoria está abierta a participantes mexicanos e internacionales, siempre que el guion esté escrito al menos en un 60% en español. Se reciben proyectos de géneros como terror, horror, fantasía, ciencia ficción, thriller, suspenso, gore, western, humor negro, acción y otros subgéneros afines.
Las postulaciones estarán abiertas del 25 de marzo al 9 de julio de 2026. La residencia se llevará a cabo de manera presencial del 10 al 14 de agosto de 2026 en Rancho Yapalpa, entre Tlalpujahua, Michoacán, y El Oro, Estado de México. El programa está orientado al fortalecimiento de proyectos de largometraje mediante asesorías especializadas y actividades de desarrollo, además de ofrecer oportunidades de vinculación con destacados espacios de la industria cinematográfica internacional.
